Crinum Calamistratum is a unique plant which grows from a bulb and produces very narrow, ruffled leaves that are dark green in color. It can grow quite tall which makes it a great plant to keep in the background of your aquarium, though it could serve very well as a centerpiece because of it's interesting appearance.
Crinum plants will do best in at least medium lighting and are extremely slow growing. Not a plant for frequent propagation, but a must have for any plant lover.

I bought this plant because it was one on the list that is tough and can be kept with goldfish. Plants arrived quickly (2 days and I live in FL) and very well packaged. I have 2 with some rock wool shoved into an easy planter for a fuller look. lt gets root tabs as recommended as well as easy green once a week and in the first few days there was some melt back as expected, but it is doing beautifully at the 2 week mark and I see new root growth. 1st pic is zoomed out and on the day my plants arrived. 2nd pic is zoomed in with the fish behind it and was taken today (2 weeks since arrival and after melt back). It looks like it's doing great! I can't wait until it gets really tall.

When I was researching what plants to get for my new 5g tank I first saw this plant on this site and was like wow I gotta get this. It's different, unusual and so pretty. Hope it does good and grows nice. I love it.
This plant came in a well packaged parcel. None of the leaves were broken and looked healthy as well. I placed it in my newly setup tank and some of the leaves have melted ends now but the bulb seems healthy and i am hoping to see some growth gradually.
