Have them on my Fluval canister filters. They work great also use in my new tanks to speed up cycling process when needed. These are more course and do not clog up as easy.
I wish I would have given the opportunity to have the filters sent by snail mail. I wasn’t in a hurry. I asked if you us to work at Conway and if you wanted any Bristled Nose plectrums like Jim use to get from me. But you never returned me mail.
My first order from Aquarium Co-Op took over two weeks to receive so I was really hesitant to order again. I'm happy to say my second order arrived in about 48 hours!! I ordered three different sized sponges and they fit my filter intakes perfectly. I used the Mini for my Tetra 1-3g filters; Mediums for my Marineland Eclipse 6, Fluval C3, and Aqueon 10; and Larges for my Tidal 75 and Fluval 206. For my Fluval FX6, I bought a Large as recommended by a YouTube vlogger. I had to cut down one side (the back) all the way to the base to jimmy it over the massive intake.
Awesome course sponge pre-filter for you intake. Works great on my Fluval 406 canister intake. Perfect~
Bought these prefilter sponges after watching an aquarium co-op video on YouTube about maximizing your existing filters efficiency. I put one on the intake of my marineland biofilter hob and marineland canister filter. Just as described and arrived ahead of schedule.
Awesome pre filter for your filter, I just upgraded from a fluval 50 to a 70 in my 55gallon, that I customized by removing the carbon & added another sponge. From the time I first plugged it in had this pre filter on which works great I don't have to worry about the baby plattys getting sucked up & diced by the impeller! Or snails finding their way into the filter either. I highly recommend one for any large filter you may have doesn't reduce flow it's very porous!

The older sponge that sold for $12 I thought was much better quality. This one works, but it let's more particles through than old style. The good side is that Corey passed the cost savings onto us and significantly lowered price. Guess I was hoping to receive the one that I previously purchased. If you have no previous expectations you'll probably love this.
These were perfect for the rectangular tubes on my Emperor 400 HOB's. Would have been even better if my sponges had came with the clear bags that Cory uses in the videos to cover these and squeeze them out!! No complaints though 🙂 5 Stars
This sponge is better than any other I have tried at collecting scuds (Gammarus sp. - freshwater invertebrate) from their culture tank and then either shaking them out for fast feeding or dropping the sponge into a fish tank and letting them come out slowly for a more even feeding. (New product name??? Time released live food sponge)
