  • Coarse, anti-clogging sponge
  • Weighted base sinks instantly and helps prevent floating
  • Room to install air stone
  • Green components blend in with live plants

Sponge filters offer reliability and hassle-free operation. With no moving parts, all you need is an air supply and you've got a filter that is fully contained within your aquarium.  Sponge filters are completely reusable, don't need any replacement cartridges and last for several years. Trusted by fish farms and wholesalers, sponge filters are a great choice for reliability and to set and forget.

The Aquarium Co-Op sponge filter is designed using coarse foam so that it can go many weeks between cleanings. The coarse foam with the weighted base means it'll stack on the bottom of your aquarium. No more floating up after a water change or initial installation. Green Plastic helps hide algae and blend in with your live aquarium plants.

Great filter!

The green color, ability to add an air stone, and variety of sizes make this filter one of my favorites for the small tanks I keep :)

Good filter

This filter is very good for filtration, especially in my breeding tanks. Don't have to worry about fry being sucked up, injured or killed. Cory's idea of putting an air stone inside is a real neat idea. It enhances the flow of air for better suction .

Works like a charm.

I love the weighted base. Other sponge filters I’ve used rely on suction cups which detach regularly. These are great. I do wish they were all black but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. I have several of these running in several tanks.
