Fritz ParaCleanse

After something made one of my Oto’s look like it swallowed a balloon and wasn’t nearly as active, shortly followed by two of my panda cory’s looking sick (one on the verge of kicking the bucket), I went down the YouTube rabbit hole trying to diagnose what was spreading in my community tank. There’s SO MANY different things out there that can potentially get your fish sick (ich? Fungus? Columnaris? Parasites? Internal or external?) and because the symptoms were completely different in their presentation as well as knowing one illness can be secondary to another, I finally just dosed the whole tank with general cure. It’s my first community tank and I really didn’t (still don’t) want to have my entire community tank get wiped out, feel defeated and get out of the hobby completely. I’m still learning a lot. But after so many videos, the biggest takeaway out of many, was that it’s always good to have meds for your fish on hand, because you just never know. With all that said, I didn’t have to use ParaCleanse (and hope I won’t have to). But at least having a product that so many people recommended to have on hand just in case, helps give me a little sense of relief. I’ve learned a lot from Corey and Aquarium Co-Op over the years (4-5 years ago I just had to rescue all the poor betta fish from big box pet stores), so moving up to a community tank with different species of fish is a whole new learning experience. I trust the product even though I haven’t used it because I trust Aquarium Co-Op wouldn’t sell it if it wasn’t a good product. I’m still unsure of what made my fish sick, but they’re still alive and looking better.
