I have a community tank, and there is some competition when it is feeding time. I would give it at least 4 1/2 if I could. The fish don't go after it as quickly as say frozen bloodworms, but they all eat. The smaller fish like Zebra Danios, and Panda Corys try to eat it, but it is a little hard at first for them to swallow. Sometimes they spit it out but they usually give it another try. Far as I can tell all of it gets consumed. It does not seem to mess up the water as much as some of the other food which is a huge plus.
My betta, gourami, pleco, and shrimp love them!
I have 5 tanks with a variety of mid-large fish, these were eaten by most of my fish, but I noticed uneaten pieces around the tanks, when other food would be all gone.
Upon introduction fish were hesitant. I have a SA tank and with fish in all parts of the water column. They now take to the bites eagerly. What I like most about this product is it floats for a while then sinks. This food gets to everyone!
I feed this to all my goldfish, tropical fish, loaches, etc. and everybody love it! I've even see my pea puffers go after this food, but their preference is still frozen bloodworms. Definitely recommend as a unique food to add variety to your fish's diet.
