Dwarf hairgrass is a moderately easy plant to grow. Many aquarists use dwarf hairgrass to achieve a lawn type of effect because of its thin, grass-like leaves, though this requires medium to high lighting.

Dwarf hairgrass propagates itself by sending out runner plants. If left to grow, it will form a lush carpet in your aquarium. Definitely a popular choice in the hobby.

Dwarf Hairgrass

Dwarf hairgrass was packaged very nice and was in great condition when received. This grass looks great and my fish and shrimp are enjoying it.

Propagating!

This is my first time keeping Dwarf Hairgrass. Root tabs, and Fluval Stratum for the substrate, has helped my Dwarf Hairgrass to slowly propagate! I ordered 3 portions of this plant, and it ended up filling the tank nicely! (Note: the Hairgrass was covered in snail eggs, so if you are looking for a snail-free tank be sure to remove them)

Healthy, green, and ready to grow!

Unfortunately the mail lost my order originally, but they replaced it completely free and gave me an extra hair grass for my troubles! The grass itself was healthy and free of yellowed areas as well as root decay. Best customer service I’ve gotten in the hobby and even better products. I also purchased the Easy Green liquid fertilizer and my anubias has been shooting off new leaves ever since I put it in the tank! Thank you guys!!
