Recently got this planter for an Anubias I purchased from Aquarium Coop. All I needed to do was drop the plant with its rock wool and mesh pot into the planter. Then place the planter in my tank. Easy peasy.
As per customer service, it is not an issue to leave the rock wool in place for long periods of time.
