- Creates a Strong Colony of Beneficial Bacteria
- Tough and Durable Construction
- Great Filter for Turtle Tanks
The Ziss Bubble Bio Moving Bed Filter is the first of its kind that runs off of an air supply and fits inside the aquarium. These units are great because they come with an easy to remove intake sponge and the media starts moving from day one. While this filter runs, the media inside is constantly rubbing against itself which keeps the media clean and allows the strongest bacteria to thrive. With oxygen traveling through the air intake combined with strong bacteria - these filters can handle large amounts of ammonia in comparison to other types of filters.
I haven't seen these being used in the co-op videos any longer in the store videos or in other videos. They aren't talked about any more. Is there a reason? Is it worth continuing to use it since it takes up so much space in a 20 gallon high?
I love the design of these moving filters. I have seen homemade ones made out of Pepsi bottles, these are far superior because of the control and filtration sponge. I have a moving bed filter made of sand. I am interested in how these do for biological filtration. I bet cut up scrubbie pads would be another way to use these. Anyway, th ask for the opportunity to talk about the 4 of them I bought from you.
I have a 40-gallon breeder with six goldfish. I put two HOB filters on it but it was struggling with cloudy water. I took out one of the HOBs and put this into the tank, and now the water is clear. It does a great job as far as I can tell.
I use it in my flowerhorn tank he can be quite destructive but he can’t hurt this filter
