Anubias Gold Coin

Scientific Name: Anubias Barteri var "Gold Coin"

Care Level: Easy

Biotope: Africa

Temperature Range: 68° - 80°F

Anubias are wonderful beginner plants, doing well in a wide range of conditions. Endemic to  Africa they can be found growing in streams, rivers, and even marshes. Preferring more subdued lighting, their genus gets its name from the Egyptian god Anubis, from often being found growing in shaded areas.

Anubias are rather slow growers, with ideal conditions they typically will grow a new leaf every 3 weeks or so. You can get anubias to grow faster under high lighting conditions with injected CO2.

Anubias can be planted in a wide variety of ways, typically preferring being attached to a surface allowing water to flow over their roots. When planting anubias in substrate take care not to bury the rhizome of the plant, the rhizome is the thickest part of the plant where the leaves and roots sprout from.

Received this pretty little plant in great shape and it was good sized. Divided it in half and glued it to rocks. Didn't have any die back and two months later they're growing really well with weekly Easy Green.

Easy Anubias

Plant came in at a nice size and has been growing quite well in my low light aquarium. It's grown 4-5 new leaves with no melt back at all. A+

Anubias Gold Coin

Great plant. Came in very healthy. Three weeks later it is still doing well. It came with about 12 leaves and the rhizome is about three inches long.

Amazing Deal

This is the largest anubias I have ever bought. It came with about 10-12 large leaves on it and so far I haven't had any melt back after a week in my tank. Aquarium Co-Op really delivers quality. I bought several live plants in this order and they all arrived healthy with zero dead leaves.

Gold Coin Awesome

Received my Gold Coin plant in excellent condition. Put it on some driftwood in my goldfish tank. Love it! Nice and big I could of made the piece into at least 2 plants but it fit so well as is on the driftwood piece I kept it big. Thank you coop team for picking out such an awesome plant.
