These battery powered air pumps are handy. They've saved my fish twice in the last two months. Sure glad I ordered these before the Spring storms arrive.
Everything arrived great
Unplugged one side of my Eheim 200 underneath my 55g and plugged in the Marina and it seemed about the same output. Very impressed. Well worth the price to have an emergency backup and to have the flexibility of use.
A year ago we watched Cory's video on how to handle power outages. Thought it was probably a good idea to pick up some of these battery powered air pumps just in case. Well, we didn't lose power last winter at all, but just set up a brand new Fluval Flex 15 gallon. The day we put the livestock in, boom...the filter stops working. Nobody sells parts...you have to wait to get them from warranty by mail...can't put a HOB on such a tiny tank. Then we remembered the battery powered air pumps. Set up 2 of them. Dropped one air stone in the main part of the tank for the inhabitants. Dropped another in the back compartment under the media so that the moving water can keep the beneficial bacteria alive. Getting us by until the replacement parts arrive. Highly recommend keeping these on hand for the unexpected!
Living in Miami Florida you would think I would be prepared for hurricanes and blackouts, but sadly and irrisponsably I wasn't, I didn't have an airpump on my 20 long, three days went by with no power, serveral fish died, thus I bought this pump, works well, now I'm ready.
