Co2 Art Dual Stage Elite Regulator

$ 199.99
$ 199.99

This regulator is for those who are serious about planted aquariums. It has the ability to add more manifolds to the regulator(up to 5 total) so you can run up to 5 aquariums with co2. The initial cost of the unit is more expensive, but allows you to buy just the manifold additions as you add more aquariums. This allows you to save the money of buying additional regulators and co2 bottles. These are paired well with the Aquario Co2 Diffusers.

  • Dual stage design minimize increase in output pressure as pressure drops in gas cylinder and will prevent end-tank-dump keeping your aquarium livestock safe and CO2 levels constant.
  • Safe 12V DC Integrated Solenoid Valve
  • Power adapter with universal voltage 100V-240V
  • New quality design and completely new construction.
  • Innovative design provides extreme accuracy and safety.
  • Integrated Solenoid Valve.
  • Adjustable working pressure up to +/- 40PSI (3 BAR) which makes excellent product for both Tropical and Marine Aquariums.
  • Needle valve with bubble counter included.
  • Dual gauge pressure indicators (tank volume and flow pressure / working pressure)

2 weeks continuous use of product.

I recieved my regulator approximately two weeks ago. I set my bubble count that day and paired the solenoid with a timer. Haven't thought about it once since which is a beautiful thing. I checked the bubble count maybe three times since and only because I felt like I should since I haven't been worrying about it. I switched from the popular Milwaukee regulator which was nothing but a nightmare; constant bubble count changes and solenoid faulted within a year. Hopefully this new one stays strong. Kudos the AquariumCoop for extremely fast shipping. 4 stars on product (only know short term usage) and 5 stars aquarium coop.

So far so good, and a great looking unit.

I've been running this regulator for almost 2 weeks now, so not long. It is a nice looking unit, great if you have a polished tank. Dials are easy to read, the primary control knob is smooth and easily allowed me to set my working pressure. Comes with nylon crush washers, took a couple times to get a good seal (used soapy water to look for leaks).

I too had an issue with the solenoid not closing right off the bat. I found a guide on how to disassemble and stretch the spring. With the units sitting for so long in the box, I'm guessing the spring looses some of its compression. This was an easy fix.

As others have noted, the valve for the bubble counter is a bit hard to get just right as tiny turns were required to fine tune it with my smaller tank. But its not something you adjust often.

I would recommend this unit, especially if you have multiple tanks requiring CO2 and with the builtin safety of a dual stage regulator (its very easy to forget to look at the tank pressure).

Ordering from Aquarium Co-Op has been great, super fast shipping.

A bit underwhelmed

I had high hopes for this regulator. I thought I was getting the best of the best but what I received fell short of expectations. I have now installed two of these (after returning the first one) and am sad to say both have solenoid issues. The first one I received did not stop the flow of CO2 after the solenoid was powered off. The one I have now is a lot better, but still releases a trivial amount of CO2 after the solenoid is powered off (persisting all the way until the photo period starts over again several hours later and solenoid is powered on). The small amount of CO2 that still gets through is not worth the hassle of returning the regulator. I just hope it doesn't get worse in time.

Solenoid issues aside, I really like this regulator. It was easy to install and the needle valve is very sensitive.

I will say that Aquarium Co-op provided excellent customer service and quickly exchanged the first faulty regulator. I received my replacement very quickly. Kudos to them for that!

Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee our live products will arrive alive. We ask that you do your part and minimize the amount of time our packages sit out in the elements. It can also be a good idea to avoid ordering live items during extreme temperatures. This would be when night time temps are below 35 and over 80 degrees during the day. Now these temps are not for sure death, it's just what makes it easiest for all of us during shipping.

When temperatures are cold we will use heat packs and extreme cold styrofoam liners. Shipping live goods is difficult as our warehouse could be 70 degrees and your home could be snowing, and all the stops in between. We do our best and will make it right for you and may request to try again at a different time.  During heat waves, it's best to avoid ordering live goods as ice packs etc don't do enough to mitigate it.
