Lots of duckweed

Nice sized healthy portion of duckweed.

I used it to fill out the gaps between some water lettuce that I have floating in a wooden hoop on surface of my ranchu tank. The hoop works brilliantly to stop duckweed getting into the filter and the combo with the water lettuce provides a calm shady spot for the fish to poke around - they even laid eggs on the water lettuce roots.

Fast forward a couple of weeks, and inevitably, chubster ranchus have eaten all of the duckweed...aaagggh!...but...it looked great while it lasted, and next time I'll think to keep some duckweed back in a spare tub so I can refresh the main tank as needed.
