My fishes can't get enough of this great food!
Well. let's see...the first feeding..... I..... was more excited about seeing what the fish's reaction was going to be to some new food.
HHHHmmmm.... That didn't go over very well...BUT, the second day....and since then....my fish are anxiously awaiting their food. they love the Bug Bites What a great food. & thank you from ....Penny's fish.....
Between these and the pleco bites ALL my fish are HAPPY!! Everybody loves these and go nuts when you feed these!!! Bug bites RULE!!!
It took a couple feeding for the fish in my freshwater community tank to get use to Bug Bites. Now they love it. I feed a variety of foods and the only other thing that gets them that excited are freeze dried bloodworms.
I was given a sample of this food at a convention, really liked the ingredients and apparently so do my fish! I mainly have tetras and one betta, they ALL love it, I'm so glad this food is affordable and very nutritious its perfect
I have a community tank with guppies, mollies, rams, chain loaches, gourami, pea puffers, pleco and rainbow shark. When I drop in the bug bites (as a treat) the tank get very active. I even spotted one of the pea puffers slurping some up at the top pf the tank. The only one I have not seen yet eat the bug bites if the pleco, but he is usually busy elsewhere in the tank. I am sure if any reach the bottom the cherry shrimp will be happy with them as well. I have been very happy with the product and so have my fish.
im very happy with the way my fish are taking to this food. i was originally intrigued by all the people talking about this food, and also noticed its not being sold everywhere, so i was glad that Aquarium coop had it. i have fed it to live bearers, tetras, florida flagfish, white clouds, killifish and some kribensis and juvenile angel fish. all seemed to take to it quite readily, even though it is a new food. granted i do feed multiple types of food. I will say they seemed more pleased with this food than my NLS.
After initially being luke warm on the bugbites my goodieds now go crazy whenever I feed them Bugbites. Whereas for most food it has to be in the water column the goodieds will even start eating the food at the surface if it doesn't sink quickly enough. I would highly recommend it.
All my fish went nuts for these little granules. What a great product. Now they only accept this and when I throw some frozen food in the tank. Just amazing.
My betta has been super picky lately on what he likes and doesn't like. I switched his food after the recipe was changed, and now he only eats frozen foods. He spits out any other pellet I try to give him. So I tried this stuff and he LOVES IT. The different sizes allow some to fall and some to float, so he spends ~10 minutes speeding around to catch every single piece he sees, and he forages at the bottom for anything he missed. I'm super happy with this food, it's fantastic. It was packaged nicely too, that's a plus!
These were surprisingly small to me, much smaller than the .5mm pellets (another brand) I have been feeding. It floats. The smaller fish gobble it up. I have Gambusia, so any Guppy or Endler would love this. My Bettas, Platies and Rainbowfish eat it but they prefer the size of the .5mm pellet. Thumbs way up for this food if you have small fish to feed.
This is really good food. The fish go crazy for it. I like the small granular size as I have a lot of smaller tetras and guppies. But the bigger fish love it just as well. I wished that it wouldn't sink so fast. It does say slow sinking but this stuff goes straight down when it hits the water.
This food is great for fishes with small mouths or top feeding fishes. My Lamprologus Ocellatus "Gold" and Brichardi juvies all go nuts over this food. As soon as it hits the water the fish are on it like "flies"! Plus with the green peas it helps with the digestion and I LOVE that it's one less worry to have. The only thing I would change is that maybe Fluval could have made the food just a tad bit bigger. Other than that I have NOTHING bad to say about this food. Plus Fluval uses sustainable black soldier fly larvae which is a great idea and has a pretty good nutritional value. Try some of Fluvals other food, I have and I have not been disappointed in any of them!
I keep a nano tank with little baby discus, enders ,pygmy corys, sparkling goramies, zebra loaches, panduro appisto and peacock gudgeons so I got the tropical formula for (small fish) and they all really do like it,I also feed frozen food so it's hard to find dry foods everyone will eat up !!!
My fish really like this food, even my betta, who up until now would only eat frozen food and sometimes flakes. But these things, he goes for as quickly as he would a bloodworm.
The small fish version, which I would compare to the micro versions of other foods, is great for very small fish like ember tetras or chili rasboras. They do seem to float quite well until they hit the filter stream or you poke them down. The container says, “slow sinking” but I wouldn’t call them that. They sink quickly. Too fast for my fish to keep up.
