This little heater is built well and fit absolutely perfect in my fluval spec 5 gallon pea puffer tank! Was able to hide it right above the pump! It’s like it’s not even there!
Up to par so far
Bought this to replace a heater that had paint flaking off for my 5 gallon nano tank. Works like it’s supposed to and I like the sleek design.
My thermometer keeps showing it's at 74-76 not at 78.....I double checked all factors and don't know what's wrong....
I bought this heater for my 10 gallon mystery / nerite snail tank after my last one (some random brand from Amazon) somehow broke after a few months and shocked me when i touched it underwater. I (stupidly) did not check to see if this heater is adjustable or pre-set, and it turns out it is in fact pre-set, but it works out fine for its designated purpose which is just to keep the tank from falling below 75 degrees F. I wanted to achieve slight temperature fluctuations throughout the day, and since the tank never reaches above 80 degrees F i felt 75 was a good minimum temperature to strive for. Luckily, despite my lack of research this heater does the job i wanted it to do, but i am not sure what the actual pre-set temp of this heater is since i think it's rated for slightly smaller aquariums, but don't take my word on that. I do still wish it was an adjustable temp, but that isn't the fault of Aquarium Co-Op or Marina. It works reliably so far, and i like that it is completely protected by a cover that prevents my snails from getting burned if they crawl over it. It is also small and sleek so it doesn't draw too much attention. Overall it's a pretty good product and i feel it's unlikely to break and shock me like my last heater.
