  • Great For Planted and Livebearer Aquariums
  • Restores GH in Mineral Deficient Water
  • Does Not Contain Sodium Chloride/Salt

Equilibrium is a mineral supplement designed to have the ideal mineral balance for the aquarium. It is best used for reverse osmosis water or any water lacking minerals. Water with little dissolved mineral content (low GH) is subject to pH swings which can harm fish and plants. Using Equilibrium to raise the mineral content in your aquarium will ensure your pH remains more constant. Excellent for planted tanks or livebearer aquariums. Test the hardness of your water with the Aquarium Co-Op Multi-Test Strips.

New never used

I am new to trying this the water that I use when I do water changes in my aquarium is very very soft so I have been using turtle tank calcium treatment blocks that look like a turtle or seashells for calcium to get the hardness up so I am hoping to be able to use this to be able to gauge it better I will write another review after I try it and let everybody know how it works so I couldn’t give it the most stars due to not using it yet, but my rating is on their shipping and customer care

Balance is important

Whether it is your mental health or your aquarium plants, a balanced environment can help things thrive. Equilibrium keeps your water parameters steady and supports your aquarium plants’ growth and reproduction. This in turn can keep you mentally balanced. ; )

Seachem Equilibrium

I wasn’t sure it worked in my 24”x 24” x 24” square 35 gallon. I used it exactly as directions say and finally after 8 days my tank cleared up.
Then I threw it into my little 6 gallon that has plants and tiny snails only and that cleared up immediately.

Love This Stuff

Been using equilibrium for a few years to remineralize my soft tap water (3dgh). Only use it during water changes, not to top off evaporated water. The measurements are very accurate. I eyeball how much water I took out, match the amount (3tsp = 1tbs). The gh is always right where I want it. I dissolve in slighly warmer water first and wait 20-30min to minimize cloudiness, which goes away pretty quick.

Crystal clear water, sparkles.

I use it to buffer rodi water. I add tiny small amount to the tank, and wait for hours. Add some more if needed after testing. Water stays clear this way. If you had a cup as big as a pencil eraser, half of that is what I add at a time. I have used for years.....

Be careful

I put a little too much, and my hardness was out the roof. It was my fault, just be careful.

Works Well

We follow the dosage on the bottle and it works as it says. I would recommend dosing based on the actual water in your tank. So for a 29 gal DON'T round to 30 Gal. You actually have closer to 25 gallons of water in a tank that size, when you consider all the space the glass sides, equipment, gravel, rocks, decor, and plants take up depending on what you have in your tank.

Must-have in soft water

I live in Portland and my tap water runs between 0 and 1 degrees GH, so being able to just throw a little of this in to raise it to a more stable 3-4 is great! Just make sure to stir it before adding the new water to your tank or you will end up with little undissolved grains.

Does what it says

I purchased to increase water hardness and that it does indeed do. Unfortunately, I do have to does more when I do a water change, but I guess that is the cost of maintaining an aquarium.

Equilibrium restores & maintains mineral balance & GH

It's a great product to change the parameters in water. Both in RO reverse osmosis, DI deionized. I am using Tap water but would prepare a dosage ahead of time once I notice evaporation to maintain the correct GH and KH

Seachem equilibrium

Seems to be working well, 2 tablespoons raised the gh by 5 degrees in my 40 gallon tank.

S
Susan N. (Spokane, WA, US)
Does what it's supposed to.

Can take a while to fully dissolve, so I usually mix it up a day ahead of time to make sure it is completely dissolved.

Another great product

I can’t say enough about this equilibrium. I have a ton of probs with the tap water. This is just one tool that helps me with that. 100% works as described an intended. Not to mention a great price for volume!

K
KittenFishMom (Moravia, NY, US)

Coming from ACO I know it is a great product at a great price. My RO water is hollow, but Equilibrium adds back in everything the fish and plants need to grow and live well. I use it in every water change.
