This food contains spirulina blue-green algae, green pea and even wood products to encourage the natural eating habit of plecos and other catfish. Xtreme Bottom Wafers are also great for loaches, corydoras, shrimp and even livebearer fry based on our own testing. It holds it shape underwater a bit better than competing products as well. It is fast to sink and slow to dissolve.

My fish seem much more excited to eat these than other foods. The cories and khuli loaches love them as well as the shrimp and mystery snails. Sometimes an Amano shrimp manages to swim off with one. The other fish eat the crumbs that my cories throw around. My cat loves them too but I don’t think they’re officially recommended for the furry cats.
All of my bottom feeders love these wafers. And everyone else too. They are very dense so they sink fast, unlike some other brands that just slowly waffle their way to the bottom.

I have Siamese Algae eaters, 8 of them mind you, and I was hoping they would like these instead of eating my plants. No go. Left in the tank uneaten, it stunk up my hole house like the other have said. It goes away after day or so.

Very good wafer in my opinion and every fish I’ve had will eat it even if they have to wait till it is like mush an hour or so later they all eat it.
