  • Spirulina Algae as Main Ingredient
  • Balanced Diet in Gel Form
  • Ideal for Feeding Plant-Eating Fish Over Extended Time

Repashy Soilent Green is a nutritious gel food which is water stable for up to 24 hours. It is created using spirulina algae as the main ingredient and is therefore an excellent daily diet for fish such as plecos, African cichlids and many other herbivore fish. This high fiber, vitamin-rich meal is great for snails and other bottom dwellers as well.

Great for so many in my tanks

I originally bought this for my mbunas but so many more love it. My endlers, mbunas, pygmy corys, snails and even my gold honey gauromies eat it. The gauromies were a surprise but they go after it as hard as my mbunas.

Snello

You can mix calcium carbonate into it to make a great nutritious Snello (snail food). You can roll skewers in it to make shrimp lollies.

Brilliant stuff

I initially got this for my plecos, but quickly found that everything in the aquarium is fond of this stuff. It was fun to make and easy to store.

The ONLY thing my nerite snails will touch!

Thank god this food exists. Thanks to the company who makes it and thank you to aquarium co op for stocking the good stuff!!!

I have 3 nerite snails. 2 horned nerites in a 10 gallon and large tiger nerite in another 10 gallon. I was getting increasingly worried they weren’t getting enough food as they are voracious algae eaters. My lights weren’t keeping up in producing new algae fast enough that I could see, and I was starting to notice white spots developing on their shells, specifically on my tiger nerite.

Que me buying every “algae water” on this green earth. They wouldn’t touch any of them. Not one. Ever. I realized that many of these big box pet store algae wafers are mostly comprised of fish meal. Nerite snails are notoriously picky and they weren’t having any of it. Heck, I’d even tried making my own snello and still no luck.

I saw this food recommended on a forum one day and figured I’d bought every other wafer/pellet on the market, so why stop now?

The shipping was fast from aquarium co op as always. I made up the repashy mixture, let it set, sprinkled some into both my tanks and voila! All 3 of my nerites LOVE THIS STUFF!

No more worries about them starving or getting malnourished!

Thank you!!!

Even my dog loves it!

I'm so pleased with this product I wish there were more stars to give. It's powdered, so it stores well. It is easy as pie to prepare (yes, it smells, but not for long). And my fish thrive on it. I split one "mini-cube" between three mid-sized goldfish, with leftovers for my dog. I happened onto the perfect delivery system (see photos) using a 48 mini-cube ice tray (approx. 9"x11"). I mix 1/2 cup Soilent Green into 1 full cup of boiling water and pour it into the tray. Let it cool and then refrigerate. Each cube removes easily with a push of the finger and is perfectly jelled. Thank you for a splendid product! Rickie, Billy, Smudge and my dog, Yoshi, thank you, too.

A new fish favorite!

I bought the Repashy Soilent Green for my young bristlenose pleco. She took to it immediately and goes crazy for it. I've found my panda cories and panda garras love it, too. I like that it's water stable for so long so that my little pleco gets enough time to rasp on it before the other fish eat all of her food.
It's so easy to make and stores for 2 weeks in the refrigerator, and i froze some for future use. It's a little smelly during until it sets up, so I made it in our garage and let it set up for 30 minutes. No big deal. I'll be using this from now on!

Everyone loves it.

And experts agree that, next to natural goopy algae grown on hardscape, this is one of the best foods you can provide for bristlenose plecos.

When other people feed your fish.

My work takes me out of town a couple days a week... so Repashy Soilent Green is great for having other people feed my fish. Cut the gel-cubes into the right size for one day and tell the person only feed one cube pr. day. No more overfeeding. Even if they do drop in two cubes, the gel seems to be pretty stable and does not break up and cloud.. etc. Great for fancy goldfish.

New food!

I had a little bit of a rough start making the food. My first batch seemed to be a total bust and didn't really gel up. I was trying to make a small bit and that just didn't work out. I just tried it a second time with better results. I put 1 Tablespoon of powder into a small plastic container and then 3 Tablespoons of water in a glass container and then microwaved for about 25 seconds. That worked a lot better. The fish seem to really like it, especially my random live-bearer babies. The only concern is that even that small amount of powder makes a lot of food for my single tank. Sounds like you can freeze it though so will try that.

Just started using this to see of my new Oto's would like it. I made it up and spread ot on a piece of cholla wood like peanut butter. They are still deciding if they like it but, the danios went nuts for it. I'll keep using it, I think everyone will like it.

My fish love Repashy

I feed Repashy every night to most of my tanks Corys and plecos really love it and the other fish nibble as well. I also feed this to my fry at the end of their first week. I mix half green and half bottom scratcher.

Soils water quickly

I got this for my guppies to give them a more varied diet. It was a bit more finicky to make compared to the Repashy grub pie, but I put it in the microwave and that helps to get it to solidify. Any Repashy food must be removed from the water after five minutes and if a larger creature like an axolotl breaks it apart, it makes the water and the room the tank is in reek like **** and requires at least a 50% water change to make any dent in the smell.
