This food contains spirulina blue-green algae, green pea and even wood products to encourage the natural eating habit of plecos and other catfish. Xtreme Bottom Wafers are also great for loaches, corydoras, shrimp and even livebearer fry based on our own testing. It holds it shape underwater a bit better than competing products as well. It is fast to sink and slow to dissolve.

All fish love this food

I've used this food for years to feed my cory cats and other bottom feeders, but all the fish in the tank go crazy for them! I usually end up adding a few extra just to spread out the feeding frenzy.

Quality bottom dweller food

These Xtreme bottom wafers are great for a multitude of aquarium inhabitants that prefer to eat on the substrate. In the tank that I feed these into, I have mystery snails, hillstream loaches, and corydoras. My mollies and swordtails also like to pick at these as much as they can so I have to spread a few wafers around the tank so that everyone can get their share. These wafers sink immediately, don't cloud the water, and stay intact for a fairly long time, which means there isn't a mess of food all over the tank. This also allows slower eaters to graze as they please. These take a while to completely breakdown, but I don't know how long exactly because every bit gets eaten so I never have any leftover food. I feed a few different types of Xtreme foods because I like the quality of the ingredients as well as the quality of the food itself that I can see and feel as I feed it and how my fish interact with it. This food has earned its spot as one of the staple foods for my bottom dwellers.
