Iron is a very important micronutrient within the planted aquarium. This means plants need it to thrive, but in lesser amounts than macronutrients. While Easy Green all-in-one fertilizer already contains plenty of iron for most planted tanks, Easy Iron is a useful supplemental fertilizer for people who are running high light planted tanks with CO2 injection or desire deeper, more vibrant colors — both green and red.
Please note that we have changed over to dosing caps. Pump heads are still available for purchase.
1. For the 500 ml (16.9 oz) bottle:
— Using the measuring cap to dose (1 ml) per 10 gallons of water, 1-3 times a week
— Each 1ml adds 0.26 ppm iron to 10 gallons of water
— Treats 5,000 gallons total
2. For the 120 ml (4 oz) bottle:
— Dose 2 drops per gallon of water, 1-3 times a week
— Each dose of 2 drops adds 0.26 ppm iron to 1 gallon of water.
— Treats 1,200 gallons total
— Great for nano tanks under 10 gallons
When in doubt, start low and increase the dosage after 2 weeks.
Watch for signs of overdosing such as an increase in filamentous or hair algae. Excessive amounts of iron can be attributed to algae overgrowth in planted tanks.
Guaranteed Analysis: Water Soluble Iron (Fe) 1%
— Derived from Ferrous Gluconate, DTPA Iron, and EDTA Iron
Notes:
— Please store the fertilizer upright in a cool, dry location away from children. The pump head (if you have the older version) and dropper cap are not leak proof. For optimal shelf life, store out of light.
— Keep the tip of the pump clean of debris. Wiping the pump tip after each use helps prevent a mineral crust from developing. If the pump gets blocked up, it can cause the fertilizer to spray in a random direction, so run the pump head under warm water until the blockage melts away.
— Warning: Fertilizer can be irritating if it gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, and it can cause stomach upset if swallowed. If you get Easy Iron on your skin, rinse it off. If you get it in your eyes or mouth, rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes. For USA customers, reference the poison.org website. For Canadian customers, reference dpic.org.

Bought Easy Green along with the Potassium and Iron supplements and have seen visible improvements in my plants! LOVE these products! You can see in my photo this established Crypt with the older leaves looking just OK, then the new growth leaves (since starting a weekly dose of Easy Green & Easy Iron & Easy Potassium) coming from the center are just gorgeous lush looking beauty’s!! The Aquarium-CoOp Easy Iron is helping my tank full of Anubias plants overcome some nutrient deficiencies. Combined with Easy Potassium, the new leaves are coming in great and not developing holes. Even though my new crypts get most of their nutrients from Aquarium Co-Op root tabs, I am convinced the Easy Iron is also helping the crypts convert to their underwater state and display more reddish color in their new leaves.

So far, so good... In the first month of very limited use, my red plants are very bright red...! I got an iron test kit before purchasing this and found that my tap water had lost all of its iron, and most of its magnesium... But, it gained a bunch of calcium...! It's been very rainy in Florida this summer and our tap water has changed more this year than other years...! Thanks again for another great product...! Keep up y'alls awesomeness...!!!

What can I say there's nothing negative to say about it I have tons of anubias and anubias loves iron I also use a little bit of easy green with it as well my plants all look great and healthy anubias is naturally slow growing but grows faster and healthier now but you won't be disappointed it's super reasonably priced as well

I bought tons of plants from Aquarium Co-op a week and half ago and planted them in a brand new low tech tank and they are doing really well! I'm fertilizing with Easy Iron and Easy Green about every 3 days right now. The red and bronze colors, especially on the Scarlet Temple still look vibrant in these conditions for me without the use of CO2. The upper leaves on this plant are almost a flourescent magenta on the undersides. I love the easy dosing and dispensing the pump on these fertilizers provide. Also the instructions on the bottle are clear and easy to read.

I’ve had my Easy Iron for over a month and wow... my scarlet temples are PINK!!! They look amazing!
I ordered my scarlet temples and my easy iron together. So they kept the pink on the plant at arrival, then made them even pinker. A piece of the scarlet temple is floating in my tank, and it looks like a toy because that pink is just so unreal! Amazing!! The pink scarlet next to my super green pearl weed just looks STUNNING! I really cant recommend this enough! I thought my red ludwigia already had some color. But after using this it gained a significant amount more!
