  • Unique crinkly texture
  • Tall background plant
  • Easy care

Crinum calamistratum is a unique bulb plant with very long and narrow leaves that are dark green in color and crinkly in texture. It can grow quite tall, which makes it a great background or centerpiece plant to keep your aquarium. Crinum plants will do best in at least medium lighting and are extremely slow growing, but they're a must-have for any plant lover.

Arrived Healthy and Beautiful

I love this plant but it often looks terrible by the time I see them in stores, so happy these are back and look incredible!

Bloomin' Onion

My first African Onion arrived a few days ago. It's a highly recommended addition to my 75 gallon freshwater aquarium. It was perfect! Fresh, firm bulb, green lacy leaves, and 2 roots, each less than an inch long.

I followed the instructions with ChatGPT guiding me through "planting" it! That process basically involves positioning it vertically on me sand substrate with a couple plant weights to keeping it from floating.

My 11" pleco and herd of rabbit snails have other priorities for this new friend. Causing it to be horizontal seems to ne their primary objective!
I will not be defeated! I've heard that once they have roots long enough to bury they're pretty hardy. We'll see!

I love these crinums and am excited that they are back!

I bought two of these from you three years ago, and they have grown beautifully! Highly recommend!

Excellent and unique beginner plant

At this point in time, I’ve been keeping planted aquariums (or aquariums in general) for about nine months. This plant arrived very healthy - just some minor rot on leaf tips. I then put it into a one-gallon bowl for a couple weeks (floating) until I could rescape its home tank. It grew. It has now been in my tank for a couple of months and it seems happy and healthy. No rot. I even neglected the tank for a month (first trimester pregnancy nausea/vomiting/exhaustion) and it survived with no lasting problems. It’s still growing. This is a great, healthy beginner-friendly plant!
