- Slow Growing
- Low Light
Cryptocoryne lucens grows to about 3 inches typically. It makes a great foreground to midground plant due to its smaller size. Crypt lucens does well under low light and grows fairly slowly.
It will send out runners as it grows and will eventually form a dense, bushy carpet of narrow, bright green leaves even without high light. But, it takes quite a bit of time. For a faster carpet effect, use multiple pots of Cryptocoryne lucens.
Plants arrived quickly and healthy. They didn't melt back at all and had new growth within a week. Plus there was three plant per pot.
This was my first attempt at growing a Crypt plant and I love it! I am fairly new to aquarium plants and have been very happy so with how quickly the package came, how well it came packaged and the great shape the plant is in. I have not had any melting of leaves and after 3 weeks the plant is looking great with new growth. I will be ordering through Aquarium CoOp again!
First time ordering online
This is my first experience with aquarium plants. It was a lot harder than it looked like on YT. I can see how those tools would have come in handy. I was worried about the melting thing, but the crypts are looking good after two weeks. I can see lots of new leaves and they didn't seem to lose the old ones. All of the other ones in the order are doing good also.
Arrived lighting quick and so far very little die back. Another outstanding purchase from the Co-op!
