This species of aponogeton native to Madagascar gets its name from the structure the leaves grow in, displaying a beautiful skeletal latticework design throughout. Madagascar Lace plants are perennial plants and will go through a period where most of their leaves will die back, typically during the summer, then sprouting new larger leaves around the fall.  When planting Madagascar lace take care as to not fully bury the bulb in the substrate, burying about half the bulb will keep this plant happy and thriving.

I'm extremely happy with my Madagascar Lace Plants (I ordered 2). My local fish store has not been able to procure any for sale and most online sources only offer bulbs. When I saw these at Aquarium Co-op I was a little afraid that I would only receive a bulb but instead I received healthy plants with several healthy leaves in beautiful condition. They arrived very well packed, too. I will be ordering more plants from Aquarium Co-op!

Cool plant

Ordered this worried I would kill it, being new to the plant world. Plant came in fast, with beautiful leaves. So far its be thriving. Have 4 leaves that doubled in size and a new leaf growing. The snail loves sitting on it.

Beautiful plant

Plant came tiny with three leaves. I’ve had it for two weeks now and it has grown so much. It has new leaves coming out for two weeks it’s growing pretty fast and beautiful. No disappointment.

Love this plant!

I love this plant! It is doing very well in my Dicus tank which is heated at 82 degrees. It did not melt back and has several new leaves on it already.

Shipping Policy

We process and ship out 98%+ of our shipments next business day. 

Live plants will ship using an appropriate service and typically arrive in 2 to 5 business days. Transit times do not include weekends, holidays, or weather delays. To avoid delays in the shipping network we recommend ordering live plants on Saturdays and Sundays for a Monday ship out.

Dry goods such as fish food, medication, filtration products, etc. can be ordered any day and will ship the next business day with an appropriate service. Typical shipping times are 1 to 7 business day transit time, depending on delivery location. 

Faster shipping options available at checkout for an additional charge.

Alaska and Hawaii have a $17.99 surcharge. We do not ship to Puerto Rico currently.
