  • Collect Snails Easily Overnight
  • Wide Opening allows Fish and Shrimp to get out
  • Food Chamber Extends Collect Time

The 3D printed Easy Snail Collector makes it easy to collect snails by putting food in the food chamber. You then put it into your aquarium and wait overnight. Then you can remove the snail collector, letting the water drain from the strainer corner. Relocate to another aquarium or feed to your favorite puffers and loaches.

Easy Snail Collector - Aquarium Co - Op
1

Collect Snails Easily

Put some algae wafers or other food in the chamber, wait 24 hours and remove a lot of snails.

2

Feed Snails to Fish

Feed the snails collected to puffers, loaches and more.

3

Snails in, Fish out.

The lid is designed to keep snails in but make it easy for fish to swim out. Optimizing for fish safety. The larger port hole means less fish will get stuck but can go in and out, also leaving some swim room in the collector if they can't find their way out.

4

Care for 3D printed items

Clean in cool tap water and air or towel dry, avoid exposure to high heat and direct sunlight.

I wasn’t sure how well this would work but just overnight - about 12 hours and this trap was full. I have tried taking them out by hand changing substrate and these pesky snails just keep proliferating. Changed feeding habits and nothing has worked. This is an absolute value for what it does. Amazing product!

The angelfish are very determined to steal the bait from the snail collector… but they can’t!

Works perfectly! I rarely write reviews, but this trap deserves one. My first 24-hour run, baited with algae wafers, cleared out a massive amount of snails from my guppy/shrimp tank. Highly recommended—see the photo for proof.

This snail collector is fantastic! My tanks were becoming over populated with snails until I brought this. I place food, algae tabs inside the enclosed area and place it in my tank, 24 hours and it is filled. It is a very well thought out and made product and I would highly recommend it.

It works really well!

I put some Hikari crab cuisine in the bait section and waited 24 hours and the snail collector didn't disappoint! My substrate is basically 95% Malaysian trumpet snails and I got a ton in the collector the first night. I had a few shrimp in there too, but they were all alive and I shooed them on their way and got rid of the snails and put the collector back for another 24 hours.

Easy Snail Collector works great. I just about got my 55 gallon cleaned out in 2 days with constant checking of the collector every 3-4 hours I put all the snails in a 10 gallon this is how many I got in just 2 days!

I’ve used the Easy Snail Collector 3 times in my 29 gallon and it has helped to significantly reduce the snail population (bladder snails and ramshorn snails). I like snails, but they were munching on my plants too much. I’m very happy with the quality of the collector and how well it works.

Worked great until it melted! After cleaning I left it out in sun to dry on wooden table for the afternoon. It was only mid 70s today in Cleveland. Although I don't remember reading the heat/sun warnings I think they need to be REVISED dramatically!

Great at Removing Snails!

I generally like have snails in aquariums but there a time where I have needed to remove them. I have found this product to be very effective and easy to use. I highly recommend this product as an easy way to remove snails.

Easy Snail Collector

I think it is a good product...but... I have a pleco who fits in it just fine. He gets in it and knocks the cover off so I put a band around it so he cant knock it off but that doesn't keep him out of it. .. It is a good thing I like him!

Finally a snail trap that works

I baited this with a frozen tubifex worm cube and put it in my 45 gallon tank that has way too many assassin snails. 2 hours later I pulled it out along with 20+ snails. I hope it works as well on another tank that is crawling with pond snails.

Very Effective, Easy to Ude!

I am so glad that I bought the Easy Snail Collector! I have used it in several tanks. In the video portion of this review, I feature a time lapse of one of my daphnia culture tanks. You can see numerous Ramshorn snails (Planorbella duryi) climbing into the collector…but they don’t crawl back out! I am tempted to buy a few more of these snail collectors so that I can use them on multiple tanks at once!

Game changer

Only used it two times so far. First time it a good job, but the second time I upgraded the food and got an unbelievable amount. See photo

Excellent and Simple

Collector captured many snails from the tank. My baby Cory's liked hanging out inside but were easily able to swim out when I picked it up.

Not as good as I hoped

I saw the great reviews and pictures with this full of snails and thought finally a snail that works , well I’ve had it in two different tanks and mostly I’ve caught my bristle nose pleco hanging out inside , I’ve tried alge wafers and zucchini with only catching 15 ramshorn snail after 24 hours I’d hoped to catch 100 lol , I can say once they are in they don’t get out . I just hoped for more success

Effective Collector of Snails and Perfect Shrimp Photography Platform

Works as described and solidly built. I was genuinely shocked at how many snails it had collected in just one day. I found it works best with algae wafers as bait. My shrimp perch on the lid and they look so good against a black background! It's also very easy to dump a shrimp back into the tank if they are accidentally inside when I take it out of the tank.

AMAZINGLY EASY SNAIL SOLUTION!

This thing is incredibly effective, and highly efficient at what it does! Threw it in my guppy tank the evening it arrived, let it sit for 48 hours, and took out 75 plus percent of my snail infestation in one go. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that asked!

Great snail trap! Works!

Tried out the snail collector and was very impressed. I put a couple algae wafers in the trap and set it in the tank. I decided to try it out for 8 hours to see what I would collect in that time frame. Picture show what happened over 8 hours. I have since done over night collections and have removed a lot of snails from my tanks. Another great product by Cory and his team!

Pro Tip: Do not dry this in the sun, but still get one, because they are amazing.

I reviewed this below where I explained that I love it and think it is fantastic and you should buy one.

Something I did not know: the melting point of plastic used to make 3D prints is a bit lower than for more traditional plastic, especially in sunlight.

I put a lot of aquarium equipment out to dry in sunshine because the UV light helps kill a lot of the things I want to avoid spreading between tanks. I tried that with this on a 90+ degree day and I melted it.

I contacted the Coop and received exceptional customer service, as always, but please learn from my mistake don't melt yours in the sun!

Works Great

My shrimp tank has gotten out of control with bladder & rams horn snail. Impossible to eradicate without tearing the tank apart and risking harm to my shrimp colony.
Enter Easy Snail Collector, on it’s 3 soak now and I can see a significant decline in the snail population in this tank.

Besides removing these pesky critters, I now have primo food for my fish. Crushed them with a spoon in a plate and fed all my fish tanks, fish loved them!

Thank you Coop for continuing to bring great products to our hobby.

First time using the snail collector

I received the collector yesterday, put it in the tank and didn't quite wait the 24 hours as stated in the instructions, but it worked great. My only minor gripe is that the lid was a tiny bit loose so it wanted to come off as I lowered and raised it, but it's nothing a simple rubber band cant fix.
