  • Bushy, medium-sized carpeting plant
  • Easily separates into multiple plant starts
  • 100% clean with no algae, duckweed, or snails

Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus' is a cousin of the pygmy chain sword that is known for its vibrant, spring green color that contrasts well with darker plants and decor. This species has grass-like blades that form into a compact, bushy plant about 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) tall and 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) wide.

Once the plant becomes well-established, it propagates by sending out runners that can quickly provide ground cover for an entire aquarium. Provide a nutrient-rich substrate (such as aquatic soil or a well-established, non-soil substrate) or plenty of root tabs for optimal growth.

Quite a bargain

Received a tub of Helanthium from Aquarium Co-Op. It was chock full of healthy plants. Got enough individual rooted plants to fill my 20-gallon long. It’s been about a week and all are growing well.

Plants

My plants always arrive in great condition. They are beautiful and I can’t wait to see them grow! I will continue order from aquarium co op.

So many plants in the cup

It doesn't look like it but there were about 10 plants in my cup! That's crazy! They were so beautiful and full. Would recommend this but each plants can get very large.

Just brown mush

I ordered four tissue cultures of various plants. All looked good except for the Helanthium Bolivianum 'Quadricostatus'. It was mostly brown mush. I planted the few parts that still seemed to be alive, but they have now almost totally melted away and it isn't clear if anything will come back.
