  • Unique tiger stripes or spots
  • Low light and easy to care for
  • 100% clean with no algae, duckweed, or snails

Cryptocoryne nurii is a rarer crypt species that has the same size and ruffled leaf texture as C. wendtii but has distinctive spotting that looks like tiger stripes. This low light plant is easy to care for and likes to feed on root tabs and nutrient-rich substrate. Its coloration can vary from bronze to green, depending on the lighting and fertilizer.

On average, it can reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall and is often planted in the midground of tall tanks or background of nano tanks. C. nurii is slow-growing like most crypts, but once it becomes well-established, it will expand by growing new plantlet nodes from the root base.

came in well

This was the best of the 3 tissue cultures I bought. I split it into 3 clumps and a little plantlet. The plantlet seems to have died, but the 3 clumps are doing well with lots of new leaves. Interesting color, slow growth - love it. They were a bit difficult to separate and I was worried about crypt melt, but I think I skipped that phase; that's never happened for me before.

Expected Better

Arrived after 3 days of shipping. Was about half mush, not salvageable. The other half looked ok and is doing a little better once planted.
