Crushed coral is a great tool for raising the pH of your water. We use it at 1 pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons of water when mixed in with our gravel. Crushed coral dissolves continuously over time. The lower your pH is, the faster it dissolves. As the pH rises, it slows down how fast the coral dissolves. Crushed coral adds a bit of hardness to the water and it significantly boosts KH which buffers pH from swinging.

I was having difficulties getting my ph higher. The crushed coral has helped. I would recommend ordering multiple bags. I needed more than 1 bag.

I had trouble with keeping PH at constant levels, since adding the coral it has stabilized at 7.5-7.8. Looks good with the soil, adds some contrast. 30gal planted freshwater tank with lots of micro fish.

Great product/Horrible Shipping experience

Unfortunately, the package was delayed so much that by the time it was delivered it felt wrong to have paid UPS for such a long delay. While I understand delivery costs are passed on to the shopper to keep financial margins, it is not acceptable to have such a delay on products expected sooner than later due to the nature of our hobby. Coral for happy snails
