My shrimp enjoy munching on the leaves.

Great value pack. Leaves were clean, full-sized, and consistent. They started to sink within a day and released a nice amber tint without clouding the water. My shrimp and snails graze on them constantly, and each leaf lasts me about 2–3 weeks before it’s mostly skeletonized. Perfect for adding tannins and biofilm—would buy again.

My shrimp seem to love them, but they weren't attracted to Catappa leaves versus the maple and oak leaves that I've used from my yard for years now... Keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...!

These Catappa leaves are great. I just got some neocardinia shrimp and they love to nibble on them. The fish in the tank like to peck on them too.

I have them in my tanks and the shrimp and snails seem to love them. They break down nice as well and over time become one with the tank. Add more when you want. I also ordered the feeder that suctions to the glass . I use it in my discus tank which makes feeding slower and enjoyable to watch. I'm shopping soon for top cover plants . Not duck weed, any suggestions?

Nice sized catappa leaves. I boil them to make a tea. I use the tea for the betta and I give the leaves to the shrimps and snails.

Many of my aquarium critters love these things and interact with them in different ways; believe it or not, these leaves do enhance the quality of your aquarium and the lives of its inhabitants. The silver fish in the picture recognizes that particular leaf as his feeding spot. The Chinese Algae Eater goes under the leaves that are on the ground; he turns upside down and grazes on the underside. It's always comical to see one of the leaves wiggling and shifting around; I know he's under that leaf.

It seems my betta is doing alittle better water not turning to dark thays good because I want to be able to see my fish lol but I love that it's making my betta actually in a better mode not looking like something is wrong what ever it has its working and I just got them and it came with 10 catappa leaves and we'll packed none of them was crashed love it.

They do release tannins into the water, but not as much as I had hoped. I now have 3 in my betta’s 10 gallon. She loves them and they look amazing. She sleeps under them like a tent. So adorable!

Used in two different tanks. My betta seems to love hers and in another tank I catch my cherry shrimp and mystery snail cleaning it up quite often. Takes about maybe 1-3 days to sink. Love the natural look it gives to the water, will have to restock whenever I get low.

These leaves are great for reducing PH and helping new fish acclimate. I used to use API Stress Coat+ as part of my water conditioning regime, but I switched to Seachem Prime because it's more affordable in the long run. Prime doesn't really help with slime coat, so I decided to try almond leaves to promote slime coat with a couple German Blue Rams I have in quarantine. So far everything looks good—the GBRs seem comfortable and the PH is under control. For those looking for something to add tannins, these definitely do that. They don't sink right away, so give them a couple days.

If you don't know by now, Catappa Leaves are amazing! Not only do they have chemical healing properties which help to fight off mild bacterial, fungal or parasitic infections; they also grow a good amount of beneficial bacteria, that adult and baby shrimp can feed on, helping a lot with breeding. Best part is, you never have to take them out! You can completely let them totally degrade inside your tank and the shrimp will continue to feed on them until they are completely gone. Yes they can turn the water a little yellowish, but that's only if you're using huge leaves in a small tank, or lots of leaves in a bigger tank. In my 20 gallon high I usually put two aquarium coop leaves in my tank and I've never noticed a difference in color. Catappa leaves are a must in any fresh water tank! Leaves came as advertised and worked perfect. They are nice and clean, free of any mold and ready to go into your tank. My fish are more vibrant and active. The tannins really start to permeate the tank and give it a nice tint. Mine is still not fully black but it's getting there.
