To give you peace of mind, the Aquarium Co-Op air pump utilizes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that automatically switches to battery use if it loses power. It can be run continuously for approximately 20 hours on a single charge and can run in Power Save mode (where the air cycles between 15 seconds on and 15 seconds off to conserve battery) for 40 hours or more. Note: the printed manual has not been updated yet and incorrectly states that the battery runs for 8 and 16 hours.

Was using the aquarium co op 40g sponge filter in my 20 long and had TWO tetra pumps to power it! The flow was so slow, but with the dual aquarium co op pump and cutting the larger sponge filter in half to use on two filters I’m shocked at how great and even the flow is with both filters and I didn’t have to mess around with air tube splitters or anything! I also love how you can turn the filter on and off with a button instead of unplugging it and you can adjust the strength of the air!
I’ve owned my single line air pump for a twenty gallon long aquarium since December and have had three power outages that didn’t last more than fifteen minutes and I was home for all three and the pump didn’t miss a beat. Plus it’s super quiet. I’m starting a seven gallon rimless aquarium the middle of July after vacation and I’ve already purchased a second pump for it. Highly recommend these pumps.
Have a dual and single outlet. Super quiet! Video is of the dual (the single is just as quiet). Currently connected to two sponge filters (nano and medium) in my 29gal. The single outlet is also connected to two sponge filters with no issues.
Note: my first dual started to be loud after a bit. No points were knocked off because the warranty claim process was painless. I sent a video and the order number and the new pump was in the mail the next business day. Thank you Sarina and Candi!
But it’s not so quiet. My HOB is quieter than this. It is nice but I’ll probably use this for my hospital or quartine tank and look for a quiet airpump
This is a great, quiet product for your fish tanks. While personally use this product sparingly since I have a larger fish room which requires a larger air pump. However, I have used this product for smaller fry tanks and as an air pump for summer tubs outside (housed inside a waterproof box). I found this product to be quiet and works as expected. I am especially impressed with the battery backup features and Power Save mode (cycles on and off every 15 seconds). These are a great insurance policy in case of a power outage! Highly recommend!
