Our Carbon-Infused Media Pads are great for removing discoloration, toxic waste chemicals, medication, and odors from your aquarium water. When added to your filter, it also helps to polish and clarify the water in your tank. This filter pad works similarly to loose activated carbon media but is much easier to handle and manage. It can easily be be cut down to the size of your filter for a perfect fit.

Chemical Filtration for Impurities and Odors

Chemical filtration has the ability to remove pollutants and certain chemicals from the water. Rather than use loose granules of activated carbon, we prefer these carbon-infused media pads because they are easier to handle, can be cut down to a custom size, and provide increased mechanical filtration for straining debris from the water.

Customizable to Fit Any Filter

Whether you have a hang-on-back, canister, or sump filter, this carbon filter pad can fit them all. Just grab a pair of scissors and cut the sponge into the right shape. When the chemical filtration is used up, simply dispose of the old filter media and cut out a new section from the pad to use.

Great pad

This is a great pad. I cut a section out that fit into my filter. It was super easy and not dusty at all. The water in my tank is lovely and clear and it is helping me work on the slightly elevated nitrates in my tank.

Easy to cut into whatever size pieces you need.
The carbon is well infused so there’s little dust or mess. The sponge pad adds as bacteria substrate if you leave it in your tanks.

A want or a need that can’t be beat

Though I can say I do enjoy sponge filters I use HOB filters for their low sound. I add the carbon filter pad to get that last bit of polish on the water along with the coarse sponge to really maximize my interior space.

Shipping Policy

We process and ship out 98%+ of our shipments next business day. 

Live plants will ship using an appropriate service and typically arrive in 2 to 5 business days. Transit times do not include weekends, holidays, or weather delays. To avoid delays in the shipping network we recommend ordering live plants on Saturdays and Sundays for a Monday ship out.

Dry goods such as fish food, medication, filtration products, etc. can be ordered any day and will ship the next business day with an appropriate service. Typical shipping times are 1 to 7 business day transit time, depending on delivery location. 

Faster shipping options available at checkout for an additional charge.

Alaska and Hawaii have a $17.99 surcharge. We do not ship to Puerto Rico currently.
