Cryptocoryne Parva

Crypt parva is one of the few low light forground plants. It grows slowly, really slowly. So while it can do well in low light, it does take forever to carpet. You will receive one pot per item bought.

  • Scientific Name: Cryptocoryne Parva
  • Skill Level: Easy
  • Placement: foreground
  • Co2 Requirement: none
  • Preferred Fertilizer: Liquid - Easy Green Fertilizer & Root Tabs

Our normal Vallisneria comes with the tag of Italian Val. Sizes will vary from each shipment. Plants can be larger or smaller than the picture shown.

Wonderful Foreground Option

I ordered 3 pots of Parva specifically, and they came in converted and very healthy. If you are looking for a low light foreground option, this is a great choice!

My review for my order overall:

Ordered 9 pots of various plants and some other misc. dry goods. Everything went smoothly with shipping and the plants looked wonderful upon arrival. Wrapping each plant in wet paper towel before bagging it ensured that the foliage didn't dry out during shipping whatsoever. I am thoroughly satisfied with the attention to detail and the fact that they take the time to convert plants before selling them. That's just not something I've found at many retailers. After receiving my order, I got the plants unwrapped and put into a tank as quickly as I could. My logic behind that was to allow them to acclimate to my water and get their strength back before deciding where to plant them. I believe this process paid off, resulting in less stress for the plants - or at least mediating that stress over a longer period of time. I haven't experienced any melting back after almost 2 weeks time, and don't expect to as all of the plants have sent out plant-lets/runners since being planted or did while still in the pots. I highly recommend Aquarium Co-op. Thanks for reading!

Great foreground plants

They came packed great and looking fantastic. They are now melting back and putting out new growth. Can't wait until they are all converted.

A great addition to my new dirted and planted aquascape!

Just like all the other plants that I have ordered from the Co-op, the crypt parva were in perfect shape with good strong roots - I was able to separate them into several small plants that I used in my newest planted DIY mushroom aquascape. The tiger lotus at the right end of the picture is also from the Co-op - I have ordered several of those and they are also fantastic. Although very small at first, the crypt parva plants have already shown noticeable growth in the first few days after planting them in this tank. I am very pleased and expect that both the parva and the lotus will grow out very nicely and look absolutely beautiful. Thanks again to the Co-op!

Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee our live products will arrive alive. We ask that you do your part and minimize the amount of time our packages sit out in the elements. It can also be a good idea to avoid ordering live items during extreme temperatures. This would be when night time temps are below 35 and over 80 degrees during the day. Now these temps are not for sure death, it's just what makes it easiest for all of us during shipping.

When temperatures are cold we will use heat packs and extreme cold styrofoam liners. Shipping live goods is difficult as our warehouse could be 70 degrees and your home could be snowing, and all the stops in between. We do our best and will make it right for you and may request to try again at a different time.  During heat waves, it's best to avoid ordering live goods as ice packs etc don't do enough to mitigate it.

30 Day Return Policy
Our goal is to provide a fair way to satisfy our customers and not lose money while doing it. We make every effort to fully disclose how our products work and what is to be expected. A damaged product during shipping is an automatic replacement from us. When it comes to a difference of opinion such as: "My fish doesn’t like this food." That we don’t refund for. However, if you decide the light you bought is a bit too green for your liking, provided it is in the original box, within 30 days and purchased from us, we will refund it at your cost of shipping.

If you would like to return a product, start the process by emailing us at shipping@aquariumcoop.com This allows us to see if there is something we can do before returning the product such as a feature you didn’t know about or send you a return label. We don’t require an RMA number, but do ask you to contact us to initiate the return. Please do not call the retail store as they operate separately from the warehouse and will not be able to issue you a return label etc.
