If you need greater water circulation from your Aquarium Co-Op sponge filter, try the Easy Flow accessory. By lengthening and curving the uplift tube, water flows out of the sponge filter horizontally across the water surface, increasing the current in the fish tank.
The Easy Flow sponge filter upgrade kit also comes with an air collar that attaches to the base of the uplift tube. The airline tubing connects to this air collar, which creates smaller bubbles much like an air stone. These little bubbles help to create more continuous flow and optimize the sponge filter's performance.
If you already own an Aquarium Co-Op sponge filter, use the Easy Flow attachments to improve circulation in your tanks. It works with our small, medium, and large sponge filters, as well as nano sponge filters made after 2023.

Be warned, do not mistake simplicity for inferiority. This is where all the R&D money goes. This is where all the blood, sweat, and tears from years of being covered in duckweed and wishing for an inexpensive alternative to hang-on backs and canister filters leads.
I very seriously and strongly feel this rivals Easy Green for what it brings to the table: it makes my hobby better, it makes my life easier, and it elegantly solves several problems in a way that makes me ask how and why it hasn't been done before.
You no longer need an airstone within your sponge filter. You no longer need suction cup clips to keep airline tubing in place - which, let's be honest, would always fail given enough time anyways. You no longer need another device to create flow. Let me repeat that: the amount of flow this creates can be a true alternative to a hang-on back or even possibly a canister depending on the setup. And because of this, you no longer have to maintenance or provide power and space to those devices.
I cannot overstate how much of a gamer changer this is for me. Maybe I'm alone, maybe I'm the dummy who couldn't figure out flow and sponge filters beforehand. But even if that's all true, this flow kit is wildly underpriced. I would pay double the asking price and I still think it would be undervalued.

I have many co-op sponge filters and they work amazingly. I could never imagine that they could work better, but now they do. The adjustable height is perfect for my tall tanks, yet they are able to be shortened for my smaller tanks. I can’t wait to be able to upgrade the rest of my sponge filters!
Got mine in added it to the sponge filter in my shrimp and scud tank gave it a lot more flow and water movement which I like it’s a taller tank I love it before and after pics included
I’ve been excited to get my hands on one of these ever since I realized the prototypes were going to be a sponge filter game changer.
Received mine today and I had to drop everything to get it on my sponge filter in the 75 gallon. I cranked up the air and suddenly I had new flow in the large planted tank.
The options for adjusting the height are useful and the little clips that hold the airline are great.
Now there is no airstone to worry about with running sponge filters.
