Key Benefits:

  • Enhanced Shell Growth: Rich in calcium, these shells support the development of strong, healthy exoskeletons in both shrimp and snails.

  • Dual Functionality: The shells can be consumed directly by your invertebrates or left to gradually dissolve, enriching the water with vital minerals that increase hardness—aiding not only shrimp and snails but also benefiting livebearers and aquatic plants.

  • Spirulina Enrichment: Infused with spirulina, a nutrient-dense algae, to naturally attract shrimp and snails, encouraging them to graze and intake necessary nutrients.

Full Time Hang Out

After seeing these, I have them a try in my shrimp tank. I rarely, if ever, find a time when there aren't shrimp grazing away. The only warning I have is buy more than one package!

New Easy Shells are Great

I tried the Easy Shells in five shrimp and snail tanks. The shells occasionally had a snail or two on them but always had neo shrimp on them. The shells lasted about two weeks in the low flow aquariums and slightly less in higher flow tanks. I already have moderately hard water so I didn’t really see a significant difference in water parameters except for a mild increase in TDS. My original plan was to break the shells in half for the smaller aquariums. Turns out the little shells are tougher than they look. I highly suggest these Easy Shells for invertebrate aquariums with deficient water minerals or as a great vacation feeding method. I will be buying more of these. Thanks Aquarium Co-Op.

Easy to use

I have red shrimp and some snails. I wanted something to help care for them and I don't care for the liquid alternative. I like that I can see the shell as it dissolves letting me know when to drop in a new one.

Originally, I bought this product for my shrimp and snails and they loved it. Though, I worried that it would just sit there and dissolve like the wonder shells but my cleanup crew actively grazed on the shells. I was sold on them, as I didn’t have to buy banquet blocks and calcium shells. The easy shell does it all. It was then that I noticed my mollies and rosy barbs nibbling away at the very same shells. I purchased half a dozen Otocinclus catfish and found them latching on to the shells. My Chinese algae eater also enjoys snacking on the easy shells. These shells are definitely not just for shrimp and snails. Also, save a little if you can and grab the bag of 100. They are shelf stable (I double bagged mine to be safe).
