Many aquarium species, especially shrimp and other invertebrates, are very sensitive to even the slightest bit of copper in the water. If you suspect traces of copper in your tap water or you are using strong copper-based medications to treat your tank, make sure to use the Fritz Copper Test Kit. Accurate testing will allow you to correctly dose the medication at the right concentrations and, after treatment is over, ensure that copper levels are back to 0 ppm before adding back the invertebrates.
