I had a big blue-green algae bloom in my freshwater tank, and this cleared it up nicely. It took 4 applications to completely clear it up, but it worked well.

Treated a 75gal tank that had a very bad outbreak of cyanobacteria. The package was broken up into 3 treatments and combined with manual removal my tank is now clear and the plants are finally starting to grow a little

I kept having outbreaks of green cyanobacteria and nothing worked until trying the Fritz slime out. One treatment killed all of the cyanobacteria and did not harm anything else. And it has not come back. Highly recommended.

Had a breakout of cyanide and spend hours cleaning everything. Dose the tank water change 48 hours later. Waited another 48 and dosed it again. Really like that it did the job!

Not magic. You can't just add this and everything's all better. But guarantees success as part of a management plan. Mechanical removal, the removal of chemical filtration, water changes before and after treatment, and changes to lighting guarantee success.

I also found an increase to CO2 helped my live plants outcompetes the cyano

Had a problem with the blue/green slime in my 40 gallon tank.
Bought the Slime Out and after 2 treatments it completely eliminated the problem. I vacuumed the gravel after each treatment and did the 25% recommended water changes. Also remember to remove the charcoal from the filter during treatment. Highly recommended. Very effective if used as directed.

Purchased this product after reading about it on other, online forums and sites. Fritz Aquatics Slime Out comes highly recommended. And, after using it successfully to treat Cyanobacteria in my tank - I now know why!

Highly Recommended to treat a Cyanobacteria outbreak in your planted aquarium. This stuff works!

Used a little less than a full package for my 20g tank (each packet treats 25 gallons). In 3 days all my slime algae / cyanobacteria were dead and falling off aquarium decor. One water change later everything looked so so much better.

I had a huge blue/green slime algae break out in my 75g a while back after I pruned out alot of my water lettuce. I added three packets as said in the directions and within a day or two the slime algae was all gone. Now I always keep a box in my supplies just in case.

It certainly worked. Killed the blue-green algae and no harm to the rest of the tank. Took a few doses but it did work. Just followed the directions on the box.

I loved the idea of a natural product to get rid of cyanobacteria but it didn't work for me. I didn't even see the blue green mess, just smelled it...ughhh
I dosed Slimeout twice and performed several substantial water changes but couldn't tolerate the smell any longer. Had to go with Maracyn.

The blue-green algae in my 10 gallon tank was pretty awful by the time I ordered- it was cleared up in two doses, and I have plenty remaining if it ever returns.

This work out well I had no idea how to get rid of it until now this fritz slime out work out in days and it works all my plants look perfectly happy without being covered in slime

Worked really good to get the blue green algae under control. It had nearly covered everything as it seemed to explode after we tried cleaning the tank before treatment. In about a week this has got it under control but still probably need another dose to finish it off as there is still some lingering in the crevices of plants. Thanks Cory for all the great blogs so I knew what was best to use!

Had a cyanobacteria contamination. Followed the instructions to physically remove what I could, then dosed the tank and did a 25% water change 2 days later. Repeated this process twice. No more cyanobacteria. Works like a charm. Doesn't harm fish, snails or plants.

I have a 20 gallon planted tank with no fish. I'm new to the hobby, got a bad case of green and blue algae. It only took one dose of Fritz slime out to get rid of it, thanks

Guessed out 1/5th of one of the packets to treat my 5 gal. Green slime algae was gone by the next day and hasn't come back!

I had some green slime algae in my betta’s tank that was starting to get a little out of hand growing over my Anubias. I dosed his tank a couple times and water changed as directed, and sucked it all out with a python really easily! So far it hasn’t returned, but I’m keeping an eye on it.

My 55-gallon tank was so loaded with blue bacteria. Used 2packets of Slime-out and it’s clean now! No damage to fish either!
