High protein and a great size for small mouths. While technically not a pellet, the size of each piece is very similar and it feels like a pellet between your fingers. It will remind you of decapsulated brine shrimp to the touch.

This food is great! The packaging is amazing. Makes it super easy to feed out. I have been using first bites for a while now growing out medaka, but wanted to try something new. First of all you get more than 4x more food, a handy little scoop, and the container I received wont expire till '28. Fry and shrimp seem to enjoy it. Its a no brainer, toss it in your cart and try it out.

At first I was disappointed when I seen how fine of a powder this feed was, then I put a scoop in my tank and my doubts went away. Its really fine but if you look close enough you can see the feed floating in the water column. My Galaxy Rasboras and Zebra Danios love it (separate tanks) Instead of my fish gobble'in up some flakes and being done in seconds, they seem to feed on this for a long time as its so small, and they have to work to get it all. I'd say this is more of a natural way for fish to graze. Not sure if my shrimp are finding any leftovers but I have to assume they are. I'll definitely be buying more when this 4oz runs out.... which is going to be a long time from now. Great value

We process and ship out 98%+ of our shipments next business day.

Live plants will ship using an appropriate service and typically arrive in 2 to 5 business days. Transit times do not include weekends, holidays, or weather delays. To avoid delays in the shipping network we recommend ordering live plants on Saturdays and Sundays for a Monday ship out.

Dry goods such as fish food, medication, filtration products, etc. can be ordered any day and will ship the next business day with an appropriate service. Typical shipping times are 1 to 7 business day transit time, depending on delivery location.

Alaska and Hawaii have a $17.99 surcharge. We do not ship to Puerto Rico currently.
