Moneywort is an easy stem plant to grow that features small, bright green leaves and will grow quite tall if left untrimmed. It is quite hardy and does best under medium to higher lighting. Moneywort makes an excellent background plant and will give fish and fry a place to hide and feel secure. Another fun way to plant moneywort is to let it float so that the stems will grow up out of the water.

I am glad I waited to write a review. These plants were beautiful when I got them and added them to my 20 gal walstad aquarium. They died back a bit and seemed to really be struggling and I was so disappointed. I had been struggling a lot with a high ph and finally found a product that worked and boom, the plants came back and started flourishing. Now I’m dealing with them growing out of the water and having to prune them back after only a couple of weeks. Aquarium Co-op has had the best rate of success for plants out of everywhere I’ve tried.
