Just got this yesterday, made some up(super easy), and fed my fish.
The betta and goldfish all gobbled it up.
A little goes a long way.... I don't have very many fish, I may never run out ;)
I wanted to try something new so I got this for my platy fry, needles to say the fry and every other fish loved it as soon as I dumped it in the tank. It was easy to make and store and one batch lasted me quite a while.
I have a 55 gal community tank with various tetras, cories, guppies, platty's, kuhil loaches, black loaches, bristlenose pleco, Raphael striped cats, various shrimp and a few I may be forgetting. I put in a few cubes and everyone of the fish and inverts mentioned go crazy and frenzy feed and push one another out of the way to get to the cubes. Repashy Community and Grub Pie are a big hit in my tank and next to make a batch of bottom scratcher..
My fish devoured this product, however beware of deceptive mouth size. My goldfish sucked the whole piece in his/her mouth. It was fascinating to watch the process of "chewing", but shocking none the less.
The value per bottle is outstanding I made about an inch worth of gel with a half teaspoon of powder, barely made a dent in the bottle, and you can put it in the freezer. So you can make big batches and not worry about it spoiling.
-Very easy to make
-Easy to feed
-Your fish will find it quickly because it is so pungent
-my rams, tetras, loaches, pearl gourami all loved it immediately
-Doesn't foul water
-Great value, tons of food in each container
I purchased a bottle of the Repashy Community food and my fish love it!
All of my fish love it. It stays together rather than dissolving thus it stays on top of the substrate. Although it does stink, that's probably why all of my fish like it.
Another great product from the CO-OP. Anything and everything that eats from the bottom enjoys this food. I have too many fish to name all but if your fish takes food from the bottom than they'll enjoys this as well.
Sometimes fish are like Mikey from the old Life cereal commercial: they hate everything. One day, they're chowing down on the flake food you always give them, and then, suddenly, they're turning their little fishy noses up at it.
Well, I have yet to see that happen with Repashy food. I have a community tank of neon tetras, platys, otocincluses, and amano shrimp: they all go wild for this stuff.
Preparation is simple, and you can freeze and store the leftover food (I make it in a silicone ice cube tray, and then put it in a ziploc bag). Just be aware that the smell is... blech.
The food is very nutritious and compares favorably to other major brands. I'm very happy having it in the rotation with my other foods.
(This was part of a larger order of several items, and , as usual, the service from Aquarium Co-Op was great, worth five stars on its own.)
This stuff is amazing for your fish. I like to prepare mine like a jerky, fish love it, doesn't cloud the water, and is a very healthy for my fish. Bristle nose love it.
Would Amazon care to actually bubble wrap fish food? Nope! Aquarium Co-op did. They've worked going the extra mile right into their business culture.
Great food every fish I own loves it and there are picky eaters at that!
All of my fish seem to love this food, Mbuna, Ancistrus, Corydoras, guppies, geophagus, shrimp, they all go for it. It's easy to prepare and easy to feed.
I was a little intimidated by the thought of making my own fish food, but wow this stuff is more than easy. Really all you do is bring water to a boil, add one part food and two to three parts water. Then just mix the stuff together for a minute or so and let it sit. Put it in the fridge or freezer after, and when it's feeding time add some to the tank. I suggest watching their youtube video on it if you have any questions. My fish absolutely love it and go into a frenzy over it. Will stay together and not fall apart or fungus over like many other foods even after being in the tank for hours. Great product!
Another great product from Repashy. I usually use the solient green for my goldfish but decided to try the community food for my community fish. We've tried several times over a week or so but they wouldn't eat it. I will keep trying though as I think it can often take a while for fish to recognize new foods. However our goldfish loved it! It's an easy food to make with excellent ingredients and can be kept in the refrigerator or the freezer.
Good stuff, quite popular with my turquoise and dwarf neon rainbowfish.
I hadn't heard of Repashy until I started watching Corys vids. It's easy to make, convenient to have on hand. All of my fish love it, and my shrimp fight over it. Aquarium Co-op has the lowest price, so I don't buy it anywhere else.
Took the fish a little bit to get used to the sinking food cubes, but once they found it they devoured it.
The Community Repashy is excellent. I put two pieces in the tank one at each end so all can get their share.
It took a little while at first for them to figure out it was food so be patient because once they figure it out they'll love it. My next one will be the shrimp scuffle which I think they Cories will also love as much as they do the others.
I'm feeding rams,guppies,neon's,glow light tetras,molly's and cory's with it.
They turn into tiny little piranha's as soon as it hits the water.
easy to use, keeps in fridge and all of my fish dig it
Love this food easy to prepare only seems expensive until you see how little it takes to make a months worth of food i freeze it.also per corys advise makes a great food for the fry
Hey Corey and Team -
What can I say but I am pleased with both the product and the whole ordering to delivery process. Repashy was just as simple to make and use as advertised (and demo'd by Corey a few times). My best advice for the first time user is perhaps feed your fish lightly so they are a little extra hungry on the day used. It will make them target the food more quickly. I have since used it a few times so now my fish know its good.
I have a zebra danio/neon tetra tank and both breeds enjoyed it. I think the Zebra's liked it a bit more based on my observations.
The cube does a great job not dirtying up the water column too !
Thanks again !
My fish love this took a few minutes to figure out what it was then a feeding frenzy. Shipping was crazy fast.
I ordered on Thanksgiving Thursday; It arrived on Cyber Monday. I didn't expect it that fast with the holiday and all the orders from the sale.
Food is great. Corys love it and everything else picks away at it. And I know what I'll be using to bait snail traps from now on!
Helps to break it apart for the top feeders.
All my fish devour this Repashy food, but my bottom feeders (corys and pleco) attack it like there is no tomorrow. This food truly insure that all the fish in your tank will get some, including your bottom feeders.
Simple instructions, easy to make and use. Love the fact that I can cut it into any size that is needed per tank. You never over feed with this food, unless you cut the pieces too big.
I recommend this to all and I will be trying other Repashy food products for my aquariums.
The guppy's loved this food, they attacked it like nothing else......the swords and platy's did also!
Fish seem to take a moment to figure it out but after the third feeding they go crazy for it! Sword tails, gourami's, clown loach an pleco's..
My community fish loves this food!!! A huge thank you to Aquarium Coop for this suggestion!!!!
