  • Easy background plant
  • Long, slender leaves
  • Bushy appearance

Willow hygro (or hygro willow) has long, slender leaves that look like a willow tree and elegantly sway in the current. As a stem plant, it loves stronger lighting and will grow quickly if given plenty of nutrients. Its tall, bushy appearance is perfect for filling up the background of your planted aquarium, and it can be easily propagated to other tanks.

Willow Hygro

I recently setup a brand new tank. I ordered several plants including the Willow Hygro. All plants were very good quality, nicely packaged and labeled. I was prepared for some shedding of plants since they were being moved from one environment to another. But I got to say the plants are amazing. Barely any shedding. The Willow Hygro has already produced new leaves and growing a great root system. I would recommend this plant for any tank lover especially ones like me not very knowledgeable about keeping aquatic plants but do truly love them for my fish.

Easy stem plant

Very easy plants. It says CO2 is recommended but i havent used any in 2 months and mine is already starting to grow out of a 75 gallon. Came in with long healthy roots.

Great background stem plant with long leaves

The plants came in super healthy and already transitioned too submerged growth, they were throwing out new roots the next day and new leaves soon after that

Willow hygro

I received one order that contained 5 stalks in perfect shape. I’m using in a planted tank with soil and a gravel top. I wanted to cover the side of the tank and planted a row. The are growing up an out very nicely

Hygrophila is Greek for "fond of wetness"

It won't be long before it's the dominant plant in my tank. The Java moss snarls back.

I know stem plants are easy to propagate, but this one has been the easiestest. This is a low-tech 0 KH nature aquarium that can run off a 2-plug wall outlet. 75 gallon, filled ~60% high.

Awesome plant.

Awesome plant, arrived healthy and larger than expected. A great plant for Betta offering many resting spots.
