The Aquarium Co-Op Power Head is perfect for adding circulation to your aquarium — beneficial for minimizing dead zones, ensuring particles reach the filter, and moving food and fertilizer to all parts of the tank. No need to rearrange your entire system to find a plug for it, since the included extra long power cord measures 11.8 feet to reach any outlet. It can be used on its own or with the Aquarium Co-Op Sponge Filter to create a more powerful filtration system.
Increases Water Circulation
A powerhead is simply a submersible water pump that sucks in water from the input and sprays out a powerful stream of water from the output. This device can be used to speed up water changes, create your own DIY filtration, and of course boost water circulation in your aquarium.
Power Head Placement
Ideally, place your power head in a location that targets stagnant areas while staying relatively out of sight. We like placing our power heads near the top of the aquarium so that they prevent oil slicks and agitate the water surface.
Amongst the family 4 fish tanks we are currently using 5 power heads with a sponge filter over the intake. Works great for water circulation improving the filters' ability to collect debris. The one time a filter failed they backed it up easily with their warranty and replaced it.

Adds flow to my hillstream loach breeding tank
This power head is perfect for me use case. I'm currently using it in conjunction with a large sponge filter to add flow in my 20 gallon long aquarium where I have 5 hillstream loaches that I'm hoping to breed. They are very spunky fish that love to play in the current. I'm currently loving this tank!!

Decent quality and power
I use this power head for water changes and it is plenty powerful and less finicky than a siphon.

Good power, consistent operation
The power head has good power and does a good job on my 40 gallon with a the aquarium co-op sponge filter. Solid construction, you don't have to completely disassemble to clean: plus it has a long power cord which is really helpful

Aquarium co-op Power Head
I bought 2 of these along with a couple sponge filters for my fish room. one for my Hillstream loach tank and one for my Corydoras Catfish tank. The power head works as expected and is a great value for the price. They're great pumps. My main critique is it would've been nice to be a be to adjust the direction of the water output.
