I like the aquarium co-op products ordering is easy very reasonably priced

It works good but i have been testing it against the api liquid test kit for over 2 months and I get different results in ph, kh and nitrate so not sure what test to believe but a lot of people say the liquid test is the most accurate of all test so I might just stick with the liquid test on the liquid test the nitrates come out way higher then the test trips

I really love how quick and easy the test strips are. My only issue is the directions are printed so small. It's very hard to read. But still a great easy-to-use product

I have always used the master liquid kit, but bought these to have on hand. Then I switched a shrimp tank from a 10g to a 5g, and I would have gone crazy without these strips! Testing several times a day into a tank that lost its buffer and ph dropped, then crashed its cycle. Yay Multi-Test strips!

Aquarium Co-op test strips work awesome and are at a great price point. I've double checked parameters with my reagent kits and they are always right on line with what these strips indicate. More convenient and less time spent filling vials!

I was doubtful of the accuracy compared to the api master test kit before buying. After purchasing I did several comparisons with different aquarium waters and was surprised how close they actually were. Having 14 and counting aquarium’s counting drops gets crazy on my eyes, another product well done by aquarium coop!

I kept getting weird, multicolored results, despite leaving the strip on a flat, dry surface for the full 60 seconds. After the third wonky strip I just gave up and bought an API liquid test kit from my LFS.

Pictured below is a 4th wonky strip (gray background). What isn't clearly visible due to my poor photography is the Chlorine measure turning slightly pink despite it meaning to turn green to indicate chlorine.
And then a 5th strip (black bg) that I dipped into distilled water for kicks and giggles. the top right corner of the buffer indicator turned blue shortly after I took this picture despite keeping it flat on a dry surface.

The nitrate reading is always white all the time for a cycled tank, back to Tetra test strips, they cost a little bit more but at least you get the right readings…

Updated review: After I left my first review, it was suggested to me to lay the test strips flat on a paper towel, or napkin, in order to keep the colors from bleeding and to keep the excess water from running onto the other pads, which will give me a clear/more accurate result. This worked for me! So, I’m happy to know that I can use these strips after all, as long as I use a paper towel under them. Thanks! (Second picture shows better results from using a paper towel.)

(Original review) The colors either blend, or become multiple colors or a color that isn’t on the chart. For instance, the pH will turn pink or pink and yellow, when it’s supposed to be a shade of orange, the GH turns pink instead of a shade of blue, and the KH should be yellow to green but turned either blue or a combination of blue with yellow. (First picture with two strips.)

They work...! They have always matched my API liquid kit... I haven't cross checked them recently because they're trusted by me...! Thanks for another great, quality product...!

I am only 6 months into this hobby, but I have 10 aquariums ranging in size from 3 to 32 gallons. I keep tetras, cory cats, mystery snails, nerite snails, betta and guppies. I probably test more then I should, but my lack of experience keeps me asking questions and humble. Thus far I have lost very few fish, and I am overrun with baby guppies and mystery snails. These test strips are easy. They test for chlorine (which most strips do not). I appreciate the pack of 200.

1. I love Aquarium Co-op and will continue to look here first for my needs - however...
2. The strips are not accurate at all. The colors I got for items #4 and #5 do not match anything on the color chart.

I know what you’re thinking: Test strips are for novices, and no substitute for a liquid test kit...

But don’t count these out! I gave them a try as a faster alternative to my regular API kit. I was somewhat skeptical, so I did a side by side test. I found the strips to be accurate, assuming you follow the directions. You know how it goes… when you have tanks that have been running for years, testing can fall by the wayside. The strips will give you quick results to spot a problem before it gets worse. Although I think an API kit will give measurements in smaller increments for a specific problem, the strips definitely encourage you to test more frequently.

Opened the package right away and tested the water. It was perfect for my Betta, Rocky! Everything right on! What a great deal at 1/2 the price from the local aquarium shop with another leading brand and TWICE THE STRIPS. Both brands had same results... but this one has a couple of extra tests including hardness of water and the chlorine content. Thanks for a great, reasonably priced product. I am very pleased!

A few observations that are repeatable with strips from 2 different bottles (200pk)

- Nitrates register very low for me. Maybe it's the coloration, but I'm always getting 10ppm vs test kit somewhere near 30ppm

- Nitrites. Some pads turn pink even when we're at 0ppm. Of course, I didn't get that in the image below. It's definitely not bleed from the nitrate pad.

- GH is always OH MY GOD (>300ppm) high with this, whereas my kit puts it at 11° (~180ppm)

- KH is low as well. Testing around 7° on average (125ppm) and the strip is low at about 60ppm.

- PH with the master kit is about 6.8 with CO2 saturated and 7.0 first thing in the morning (aeration cycle overnight to release CO2). Strips are low, once again, at 6.6 at best.

- Chlorine seems accurate.

With that said, I cannot recommend these strips, especially for a newly established tank.

In this order I received 2 USB nano pumps and the 200pc multi test strips. Both of which were extremely beneficial before, during and after a recent move. I feel better knowing that my water puppies are in safe, well maintained water without question, and their tank cycles made the move too 🙌🏻🎉 Everything arrived in working order and on time. I've ordered from Aquarium Co-op before, and have told everyone I know in the fish hobby, that I am a customer for life 💯

Hi, new to aquariums here. I did the test strips and everything looks good but the hardness one turned a magenta color that wasn’t on the card. Not sure what that means?

I've tried others.. even big name brand companies and they are a waste of time and money.
Aquarium Co-Op offers a great item for a great price!
