The air pump you've always needed is here. Keep your aquarium water well-oxygenated and your fish healthy in absolutely any scenario — even when the power is out. To give you peace of mind, the Aquarium Co-Op air pump utilizes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that automatically switches to battery use if it loses power. It can be run continuously for approximately 20 hours on a single charge and can run in Power Save mode (where the air cycles between 15 seconds on and 15 seconds off to conserve battery) for 40 hours or more. Note: the printed manual has not been updated yet and incorrectly states that the battery runs for 8 and 16 hours.

1. Connect the air pump to the USB cable and power adapter. Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
2. Connect the other end of the air pump to airline tubing and the desired air-driven device (e.g., sponge filter).
3. Press the Power Button to alternate between three modes: Power On, Power Save mode, and Power Off.
4. Use the Up/Down Arrow Button to cycle between 5 adjustable flow levels to control the intensity of the bubbles.

Always operate the air pump above your aquarium water level to prevent back siphoning, which will damage the pump. Please use a check valve if placing the unit below the aquarium water level.

Never submerge this unit, only operate in dry conditions.

Quiet Operation

Designed to run quietly, barely above the sound of a quiet library. Its sound levels are lower than a normal household room with everything turned off. In fact, the bubbles from the air in the water are louder than the pump itself.

Storm Ready

Our air pumps have a built-in lithium-ion battery. When the power goes out, the air pump continues to run automatically. Works as normal when plugged in via USB Type C and then continues to run when the power is out. If anything happens, you can trust in our 1-year, hassle-free warranty.

Up to 40 Hours of Battery Power

Our air pump has a nifty Power Save mode. By turning on this feature, the air pump will turn on for 15 seconds, then off for 15 seconds in a cycle. This extends the battery life up to 40 hours, keeping your fish oxygenated during a power outage.

Adjustable Air Flow

Push the arrows button on the pump to set the amount of air flow. The 5 flow levels can be adjusted to create a nice, slow flow for fish like bettas or reduce the bubble noise if needed.

Delivers Air to Both Shallow and Deep Tanks

We built this air pump to be used with both nano tanks and large, deep tanks. It is powerful enough to run a sponge filter in Cory's 800-gallon aquarium, which is 40 inches in height.

Super excited to have received mine today. I ordered the dual pump. I love all of the features, especially the battery backup. I’m in Florida and we experience power outages even during a summer thunderstorm. After hurricane Milton hit back in October 2024, our power went out for 8 days. I was staying with a friend and daily returned to the house to replace battery backups for the air pump. I wish I’d had this air pump back then, it would’ve saved me having to climb through the fallen tree to get to the front door daily . I’m stoked about the battery backup for those days when a thunderstorm hits while I’m away at work and knocks out the power and I can’t do anything about it. There’s peace of mind. Being able to adjust the airflow is really nice too and so’s being able to extend the battery life. Love the usb as well. If power were to go out for longer than 40 hours it can be plugged into another battery backup. Great features! And, it’s very quiet.
I’ve always liked Aquarium Co op products. I loved the heaters and wish you’d bring them back. 🙏

Battery backup air pump

I have four of these pumps. One wasn’t working like it used to for my White Cloud Minnow tank and egg hatchery. I had a back-up that I use for my BBS hatchery, so I swapped it out to make repairs. Aquarium CO-OP stands behind their products 100%, so they sent me a repair kit(and if that wouldn’t work for me they offered to replace the pump.) I really wanted to keep the old pump going, but the repair kit wasn’t enough to get the pump working. They offered to send me a new pump to get me going after my attempts to repair the old one failed. Nothing but LOVE ❤️ from me for this company and their outstanding service. Everything fails at some point but if you use Aquarium CO-OP they will be there too help you, and not run away from the problem. Thanks guys! You have a great company and staff Cory!

Our power has been out for (currently) 40 hours. (NW Indiana had some tornadoes come through on June 11, 2026, and power is, of course, getting repaired as fast as they can). I have 3 ACO dual air pumps, each connected to an elevated ACO smallish sponge filter. I have one each on an overstocked 65 gallon cichlid tank, as well as a 75 and 55 gallon overstocked, but heavily planted, tanks. I keep the pumps running despite the canister filters on each tank, because power outages aren’t planned, right?

The night the power went out, I didn’t panic, because I knew your pumps would take over. And they did. Big time. Every single fish has survived. No one is gasping for air. They’re all in chill, sleepy mode.

I also have a single outlet ACO air pump that was fully charged, and I use that to supply the tanks on a rotating basis as I recharge the dual ones for each tank.

My fish will be fine, because I trust you, your products, and I planned ahead for emergencies. Real world experience of 40 hours (and counting).
