TLDR: function excellent; design can be improved for durability. (5 stars if used like a normal person) Purchased the large size. Really like the one piece belly/catch area -unlike typical nets, it does not have a "bottom of the valley" seam for fish to get stuck in. Friction/Drag through the water can be an issue if you find yourself using it vigerously - the plastic clamshell style seam of the handle attachment takes a lot of stress and did separate- opening the seam and adding a generous glob of superglue fixed it, also dont go crazy on the handle - you can put enough torque on it fairly easily to snap it off thr attachment point (customer service from the coop is fantastic, they sent me a replacment).

I bought new nets... Not because my old Co-op nets were worn out or had issues, but because I added tanks to my basement and did not want to go upstairs to get them. Besides it is a good practice to let nets dry out after using them.

I have a half dozen of these nets for at least 5 years. None of torn, or had stitching break. I have other brands that have been sewn back together. So when I wanted to get more nets, it was an easy choice to get them from the Co-op gang.

I bought two of these nets, and one of them caught on the mouths of my Otos pretty badly. I had to cut the net, and even then it was very difficult to free the Otos. I had to cut very close to one of their mouths to free him, and of course he was flopping around also. I was afraid he might die.

This net seems to be the most coarse, with the widest holes in it, of any I’ve used for this size of fish. Because of that, it can snag on parts of some fish, like the Oto’s mouth, much more easily. I have kept the nets as a backup just in case I need them for larger fish (despite the hole I cut to free the Oto, larger fish won’t get through), but I rarely use either of them because I’m too concerned about snagging parts of fish. My go-to nets are less porous and have softer, finer mesh since they won’t snag on fish so easily.

I love many coop products, in particular Easy Green and the plant lights, but I would prefer to see this net redesigned. The carbon fiber handle is great (that part is better than any other net), but the mesh is where the action is, and it’s a hazard. It needs a fine mesh option to go with the good handle.

I love most of aquarium co op products and this one surprised me. I added a small net to my order just to have an extra net and the first time I used it I had to **** the handle on and I guess I was holding it wrong because it snapped as I was tightening it up. I really like the net but I'm shocked it broke so easily and unfortunately I never got to use it.

Love the size. Love the mesh. Love the handle. But be very careful not to bend the net like you may do with a wire one. Mine got bent trying to catch a pleco and snapped.

I LOVE the box style net, versus the normal wedge nets... It makes sorting fish for sale A LOT easier, you can do it right in the net...! Get the largest and smallest to accomplish this feat... I'm probably gonna wind up with multiples of every size...! Thanks for another GREAT product and keep up the AWESOMENESS...!

Super durable feeling, and no metal parts means it’ll never rust, what’s not to love?

The big ones are huge! They are well made. Strong shaft material. The net is square and soft for the fish. Kid tested as they wore them on their heads and ran around the house playing catch the kid a new game. I am sure Cory didn’t test that. I bought two, one for the fish room and one for the outside pounds. The pond net is a real plus for the conditions. Can I say value!

I love this net. When it arrived last week, I thought I it was too large and wasn’t sure I would ever use it. Yesterday I needed to move zebra danios to another tank. I was so frustrated trying to catch the quick little things with my standard size net. After a while, I finally broke out this new net. It worked great. I was able to catch them all quickly.
With having so many nano fish, I will be using this net! It is hard to catch a small fish with a small net. The material of the net is very soft and doesn’t damage the delicate little fish.

I buy Apuarium co-op anytime i can. LUV this company. This net is amazing. CORY is one of my youtube heroes and would recommend this product and company literally over everyone else.

Purchased several of these nets all broke in the sam location where the net attaches to the handle after one or two uses.
I would only recommend these for small light use in aquariums.

We definitely love netting fish with this!! I enjoy being able to take the handle off to use on our middle shelf that's hard to put normal nets in.

Been using these nets since they first came out. wish I could get another Medium and a small 2 go with my large ones.

I'm torn between buying another one honestly. I LOVED the shape / netting material, I have several different fish species and tanks i am breeding currently, and the large size fits almost perfectly against the width of most Aqueon 10/20g aquariums which makes netting fish really easy. Unfortunately, it broke in a couple places after what i consider to be very light use, in about a 2 month span. A piece of driftwood caught the netting, and the end of the handle consequently "shattered" in my hand. It was extremely brittle. I still use the remnants, although it seems different parts of the main shaft have slowly started to crack since the handle broke. For me, it is a little expensive, despite having awesome shape/netting material. Improvement suggestion would maybe be making the shaft/frame out of a galvanized material or a plastic that is a bit more durable.

They have a great fabric that dose not get snagged on things. The only proble is the the flashing from the molding process was not removed from handle. This is said so they can have it addressed in future orders
I find no real problems with the net.

Works great don't use it a lot as I don't catch my fish often but when I need to it's there.

The net trapped the snouts of two otocinclus as I was trying to introduce them into my aquarium. It was awful. I had to cut the very closest parts of the net thread by thread to them.

We'll see if they recover and survive.

The size of the openings are the perfect size to trap small fishes with extended mouths. The lining is too thick so that it is hard for them to wiggle out.

These nets (I have all sizes) are fast! They are also very lightweight and look great. I like the materials used and I feel like they will last a lifetime when used in a reasonable manner. I deducted 1 star because the handle on the 2 largest nets is unreasonably short.

I had this net for roughly half a year in medium size. I had issues where it broke at the intersection point near the handle. Also had issues where Pleco's / Corys had issues where the net holes caused extra issues with fins. I had to switch over to a fine mesh net for those species. Then i had another issue with a Black moor where his rear tailfin was caught and tangled up in the net. I ended up having to cut up and rip the net in order to get him out.

I was looking for a more delicate/finer fish net than this one. The net is a heavy material, and the frame thick and sturdy. I'm still using my cheap little green net ones.

I love the boxy shape of the net the most, and that it's made of plastic as opposed to coated metal like most fish nets. My only problem is that it broke immediately when it slid off the edge of a tank and fell to the floor. The joint connecting the pole to the rim of the net shattered. The small nubs inside that kept the two "plates" together snapped off, but I was able to put it all back together with the Co-Op's super glue gel. It seems to function well after being repaired, but now I'm more careful with handling it.

Bought 2 of these nets. A nano and a small. Within a month they both broke. There is an obvious weak spot where the handle attaches to the net. I hope the Co-op has addressed this issue. It could be a great net if they can strengthen this area. Also offering longer lengths would be good. Thanks

I LOVE the box cut of this net. I wasn't sure I would, but I've watched a couple of Cory's videos and how he catches fish. So, I decided to try it. I have now ordered the small and medium net. I feel like my fish can swim out of the net better with this shape.

Best net I’ve ever used. I love that the handle doesn’t bend and the net stays open it makes it muck easier catch fish
