Moves air but super loud

Like the title says, it moves air really well but it’s so loud it’s not even usable. I had it running a sponge on a tank upstairs and I could hear it downstairs.

It does the job, but its loud as a tractor ...

i got both the ap50 which is ok, and the ap100 which is extremely loud even at its lowest setting. Also, on ap100 you cannot tune each of the 2 outputs separately. For the ap100, if you care about the sound of it (and really, you will hear it across your house even if the room it is in has its door closed), this is not a good match for you. The eheim air pump is much more expensive but, like, 10 times as quiet as the a100. The usb nano pump is also a much better fit for small aquariums (and it is virtually silent).

I am going to be returning this one, and either stay with the usb nano pump, or go for the piezoelectric air pumps , they are a bit more expensive but i have a feeling that they would be more reliable than the usb nano pump long term ...

Purchased the AP-50 and AP-100

Got the AP-50 for my 10-gallon, and it works wonderfully. Can't wait to set up my 20-gallon in the future where I'll use the AP-100 to connect a sponge filter AND the Ziss filter.
