Fluval AquaClear Hang-On-Back Intake Adapter

I bought these for a couple of Aquaclear 110s I have. They fit perfectly. The diameter at the end is perfect for a snug fit with a large prefilter sponge, whereas with the stock inlet tube, the sponge is loose and can fall off. The length of this is also perfect, just a hair shorter than the stock tube so you don't need to worry about it being too long for your tank. ACO also but a bend in the adapter to keep it off the back glass and provide space for the prefilter sponge, which allows 360-deg intake (versus with the stock intake, the sponge would always be pressed against the glass, reducing its utility). Can't say enough!

This should have come with the aqua clear to start with! This is the perfect example of how the Coop makes things better! Paired with the intake pre sponge, and the new medium density sponge pad this is makes the aqua clear dang near perfect!

The best thing was the thing I didn’t know I needed. I have 5 aquaclear 110’s, but only purchased 1 just to see if I’d like it. Well, now I’ve got 4 more added to my cart. You guys have done it again. Huge improvement on how it holds the prefilter sponge, flow, and aesthetically it looks superior to how it did previously. Bravo

I’ve been waiting for this part!!! I love my Aquaclear filters and I love my Aquarium Coop prefilter sponge. You really hit it out of the park with this intake tube. I love the adjustable option so you can position the sponge where you want it - front and center or at any angle to the glass. The ACO prefilter sponge fits perfectly on the tube and it will be so much easier to take the sponge off and clean it! The instruction card made installation easy to understand. The construction of the intake tube is impressively sturdy and smooth with a seamless fit to the existing intake tube. Thank you for continuing to make great products. 💚
