These are one the best air stones out there that money can buy. They are weighted to sink naturally and can be taken apart if they ever were to clog - so they can be cleaned or the disks replaced. They also work great inside sponge filters. Instead of replacing a cheap ceramic air stone every 4-6 months as they get worse and worse for bubbles, install one of these once and nearly never worry about it again. Tighten or loosen the disks to change how big the bubbles are.

8 months with no signs of clogging

I've had this air stone now for 8 months. Hasn't clogged yet. Much better than the more expensive ceramic air stones that get coated with algae and clog. I plan on buying several more of these to replace all the air stones in my other tanks.

Works just as advertised!

Instead of traditional ceramic air stones, these ones use three pads that can be tightened down to increase the size and stream of bubbles. It comes with 3 extra pads which tells me that these pads might exhaust their effectiveness in the future.

Works as directed. Quite pleased at ease of adjustability!
