The shrimp love it!!

The mat was 95% brown on arrival, and smelled like sewage. I rinsed it thoroughly, soaked it, and rinsed it again. There was just a bit of green, so I decided to see if it would bounce back. The green is still there, but it isn't spreading or growing.

The wire mesh was a good thought, but the silver mesh is visible below the moss. If the moss was alive, it would probably quickly grow to cover, but it seems doubtful that mine will survive. The outer points of the mesh is also INCREDIBLY, razor-blade sharp. Use tools or wear gloves when you handle it.

It comes in almost all brown color after a week it started to green up very little.
I was expecting that but man so brown.

The Java Moss was brown in more places than I was expecting. The mat is incredible quality and you can even bend it into a tunnel. I do suggest tying off the ends of the strings as they can be unsightly.

The Java moss came on time and was well taken care of with the wire mess holding it together. I pulled off the mesh and placed the moss in my terrarium. So far so good. The moss is starting to spread already. I will definitely buy it again in the near future.

Delivered beautifully green and look to be healthy.
I’m hoping that these pads will spread and fill in nicely.

I was supposed to get these on a Monday but for some reason was delayed till the next day. I opened them up right away and one java moss mat looked good but the other not so good :( Would have been great if both of them would have arrived looking good.

i probably just got a bad batch or over the delivery period it went a little bad, but mine came brownish/yellowish. i still put in my tank and used a bunch of fertilizer so hopefully it gets better soon. it’s also just not worth its price. it comes on a 2 by 2 inch metal sheet and has about a centimeter of width. i expected more for 10… dollars… i love aquarium co op, but this was a miss for me idk.

My daughter has had her tank for about 2 years now. I am the caretaker while she is away at college. So I am sprucing up her tank and have new fish coming too from Dan's Fish. This is for her birthday. I have now ordered 3x from Aquarium Co-op 3x for supplies and have received my packages within 2 days. So far everything looks great. I'm sure I'll be buying again! Moss is green and wrapped around a wood piece.

When delivered all the moss was brown. I had an excellent customer support experience and was able to resolve this issue.

Was disappointed in the small size. I ordered 2. One was pretty green, the other, more brown than green. Will see if they bounce back.

The follow up by Sarina and Candi was spot on, they gave me a gift card to replace the moss mat if I choose to. So because of the great customer service I changed and updated my review.

Java Moss Mat came in perfect condition, just dropped it in my tank to let it grow to put in a different tank once it is cycled.

Usually get great plants from them - this moss mat was about 50% brown. It should hopefully perk up with time and fertilizer.

I still give the company itself 5 stars, but this plant in particular gets 3.

Ordered many plants only a few days ago. Shipment came very quickly and everything was alive and well. The plants were very green and received very good sized plants.

I used one of the three mats i got to make a tube and another over a rock creating an opening under it for a shrimp hide away. My shrimp love them as well as my other fish. Once I put it in my aquarium they started growing and have done well. All plants I have bought from Aquarium Co-Op have always done well and have grown well. Thank you for such superior plants. Always so much better than the store bought one.

The mesh grid is a heavier weight than expected. I was going to wrap them around driftwood but it was not the effect I was going for. I used a pliers to fold in the sharp edges for fish safety and ended up wrapping them around the gray Fluval elbows (why?!?!?). Loving the camouflage so far.

Received the Moss Mat in excellent condition. The Java Moss is easy to care for and does well in my aquariums.

Just unboxed my piece of moss. It was packed great but the temperature has been insanely hot so when I open the package it was pretty darn toasty. The Moss look stressed but it will be fine. It's going to be looking good in a few days. I am very pleased with this. The picture is like 2 minutes after putting it in the tank. I'm sure it will flourish and be wonderful.

We novice to the aquarium world, but wanted some more plants to break up the space. We ordered 4 Java moss mats, two red flame swords, 2 pogostemom Stellatus octopus. They arrived earlier than expected and were in healthy condition. They have made our fish very happy and are a beautiful setting to the tank.

I bought a bunch of java moss mats and used them to instantly carpet my aquarium. They all arrived green and healthy.

Have been able to grow this without any issues. Bought my first sets from the big box stores and ACO’s plant quality is much better so I’m sure this will be as good if not better. My neocaridina shrimp and various corydoras use it as a breeding ground once it grows dense enough and pretty sure your water pets will love it too!

I figured I'd wait and write this review after I'd had this plant for a while, and I was not at all disappointed. I started with a square about the size of my palm when I ordered several months ago. Taking it out of my tank to measure it now, it's absolutely enormous (see the attached image, dirty because of algae). This moss has survived problem free throughout my tanks many stages and has fought algae all the while.
