Anubias barteri is one of the most popular Anubias species in the hobby. Its broad, arrow-shaped leaves are considered larger than many other varieties of Anubias and it is often used as a midground plant. Anubias barteri thrives in low light and has thick, strong leaves which are great for African cichlids, goldfish, and community tanks. Please note that depending on availability from our supplier, your anubias may come as a potted plant, or bare root.

1

Attach to Rock or Wood

For a natural look, anubias plants can be attached to rock or driftwood with super glue gel. Simply draw a small line of glue on the hardscape, and firmly press the roots of the anubias in place for 30 seconds or until set.

2

Plant Transition

Anubias leaves are quite hardy and don't tend to melt when placed underwater. However, this slow-growing plant can take several weeks to get used to a new environment and start sprouting new leaves. Dose Easy Green fertilizer to speed up the transition.

The plant was already having rotted leaves

The plant came with its leaves rotted. And now looks like the roots are becoming kinda fuzzy coating and I am expecting it will start to rot soon as it was having already some black mushy stuffs which I cleaned from the roots and quarantine them.

Anubias Barteri

One of the prettiest plants delivered by Aquarium Co-op, by far. I purchased and placed it in a rock planter with a root tab to assure, hopefully, its survival. I do not have a good track record for plants living longer than a few weeks. So with fingers crossed.
The plant is so pretty and healthy, it almost looks fake.

Tiny plant

At this point PetSmart has bigger healthier plants and I really hate to say that.

Too far to survive

I live in Orange County California I ordered on Thursday in the morning got my order Monday at 2pm once I opened my package this plant was in bad condition I thought I'm going to try it still. If I don't try at all I'll never now so I glued it and threw it in I also bought thier fertilizer. Nah it was too late to save it by day 2 it's was no good threw it away.

Not saying aquariumcoop plant isn't good but I feel the little plant didn't make it cause of the long travel

Beautiful

I've been wanting to get the anubias barteri for a while. I love the color and shape of the leaves. I got 2 plants from one pot! The one on the right is wedged between 2 rocks the left one in a crevice. Hopefully they stay there lol

Very large anubias that came with 3 plants!

I was surprised by how large the anubias was at first but after taking it out of the pot I realized it was actually 3 separate plants with 3 rhizomes. 3 for the price of 1! So I was able to plant them in different areas of my tank. One of them came out of the gravel (planted with rhizome above the gravel) but my shrimp was taking it for a ride so I snapped this picture. They look great in my tank and I’m very satisfied with the purchase. This is my second order from aquariumcoop and both times the plants have flourished in my tank. This time I bought the all-in-one fertilizer and I’m already noticing that it’s actually helping keep my algae at bay. I’ll definitely order more plants from them again.

New Arrivals - Anubias Barteri and Dwarft Sagiteria

I was delighted when I received my order of plants, although I was very concerned that they might be dying off because it took six days to arrive; no fault of the Co-op; UPS was the culprit. Most were in acceptable condition when I unpacked the box, especially the Dwarft Sagitatia. Many of the stems were withered, but I could tell it had been a healthy and bushy plant; the Anubias Barteri were in excellent condition. I proceeded to remove the dead stems and start decorating my aquarium. It has been a week, and they are gaining their health and look beautiful. I recommend Aquarium Co-op to anyone interested in purchasing live plants; they have competitive pricing and great customer service. I have uploaded a pic; the Anubias are in the front, and the Sagiteria are in the middle background.
