Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' is a carpeting plant which is typically used by aquarists to achieve lush foreground cover. It is a low-growing plant with bright green, rounded leaves. It will creep laterally along the substrate as it grows along and can also be used overhanging on decor or rocks. Monte Carlo does not require much beyond medium to higher lighting andĀ fertilizer to thrive. Once it takes off, it will fill in nicely to form a soft carpet for shrimp and bottom dwellers to enjoy.

We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge

We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.

How We Grow and Store Our Plants

We store all of our plants in aquariums with plenty of light and fertilizer to start converting their leaves. This picture is from our warehouse. Not all vendors store their plants in water; many store them out of water in bags straight from the farms. This is more time without light and doesn't give them a head start in growing underwater leaves.

Monte Carlo review

I really liked my Monte Carlo, it came very fast and right now my tank looks amazing because of it

very little was given

i bought 3 pots of monte carlo and it ended up being a really small amount. just enough to plant around 10 small bunches, which only filled a corner of my 5 gallon tank

Shipped great looks great hopefully it spreads šŸ‘

Arrived alive and ready to plant. Got it in my tank. I’ve been running the lights while I’m not sleeping. It’s only been planted for a few days, but I can see what appears to be a little growth already. Looks great in my Fluval Betta 6 Gallon Tank.

All the plants came in healthy. I have a bit of " melting" happening on my Monte Carlo but should come back to life here as it adapts to a new environment!

Sadly disappointed

I ordered a couple monte carlo and when I received it, it was nothing like pictured. I thought they would be full and healthy but they came already melting and with a miniscule amount.

DO NOT BUY

All of my monte carlo melted away, none survived and I bought around 6. I'm so disappointed I lost my hard earned damn teen money for this shite. Dude :| 😭😭 I had co2 injections and high lighting and yet they all just melted off. Ludwigia I bought was fine, not at all this darn monte carlo. i waited weeks to see if they would recover from the melting and nothing. So frustrated I lost my money.

Monte Carlo

Was healthy green and packaged very well despite the temperature here. It is getting below the 30's F here and the 3 pots i order were still in good shape surprisingly. Planted them in my tank a week ago and is already starting to spread (low tech no Co2) very minimal melt. The price paired with the free shipping I am very pleased and will be a returning customer. Thank you Aquarium Co-Op.

Looks great

Good sized pot, a few brown leaves but you expect a handful after shipping. Otherwise looks good and I expect good things.

great

bought three bundles and they almost died out after around 3 months after purchase, but then grew and spread quickly. this is 7 months after buying

Brutally honest

purchased some monte carlo and for the first time ever I was disappointed... Almost ruin the rest of my day it was that disappointing arrived over 50% dead and was a complete nightmare to remove from rock wool such a delicate plant in rock wool isn't such a good idea on top of so well attached do to age of the monte carlo after planting into substrate it completely died and I honestly thought it was the end of my monte carlo until a week later roughly I saw 1 new baby leaf. Hoping in 6-10 months it completely recovers. Eager to see my 40 gal tank all lush and fully grown in from a year from now. Still enjoy shopping here and watch Corey's vids. Glad Corey moved a lot closer to me.

beautiful

bought three bunches, two melted completely and one just barely survived after a month. its been three months since then and the one plant has spread around my entire tank, its very lush and green and great for my guppies. tank is kept at around 78-80 degrees and i dose the tank with liquid co2 and another liquid supplement every week and it really seems to do the trick.

heres my tank progress from start - 1 month - 4 months

Doing great!

Customer service is also stellar. There was some sort of storm when I ordered, so the plants were taking an extremely long & extended time (even tho I live pretty close) I reached out noting that it’s no one’s fault, but what options do I have if the plants continue to delay or show up haggard… they immediately sent out a replacement, no questions even asked! The original plants ended up being packaged so well and insulated with the foam stuff, that they were received in perfect condition, in addition to the extra free shipment they gave me! Will definitely order again for quality and amazing service. Very happy customer here!

Didnt arrive in the best shape

Came yellow, planted it hope it snaps back, ordered two one was it worse shape than the other, on day three looks like the better off one is starting to get a little greener, havent seen and melting on them yet so hopefully thats a good sign and they will recover idk we will see. UPDATE: CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACTED ME AND WAS GREAT. SENT A REPLACMENT FOR THE ONE NOT DOING SO WELL, IT ARRIVED IN A LOT BETTER SHAPE,(Did have some yellowing, but overall pretty healthy and its was quite hot outside when they shipped) ALL HAVE NEW GROWTH AND LOOK TO BE DOING GOOD AND COMING BACK WELL.
