Red flame sword is a very impactful aquarium plant that is easy to grow. It can have green, red, or bronze-colored leaves, creating an interesting and eye-catching spotted pattern. Medium lighting or higher would be ideal for this plant to thrive. Red flame sword plants can get quite large if left untrimmed and therefore look impressive as a background plant in larger aquariums or even a center piece plant in nano tanks.

We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge

We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.

2

Plant Transition

Most aquatic plants are grown out of water at the farms. At our warehouse, we start the plant's transition so they can begin growing underwater leaves for you. As you can see the rounded leaves are grown out of water while the more slender leaves are grown under water. This is a normal process, and it's your choice cut off the fading, older leaves or leave them.

How We Grow and Store Our Plants

We store all of our plants in aquariums with plenty of light and fertilizer to start converting their leaves. This picture is from our warehouse. Not all vendors store their plants in water; many store them out of water in bags straight from the farms. This is more time without light and doesn't give them a head start in growing underwater leaves.

4

Heavy Root Feeder

Sword plants are heavy root feeders and often need to start with 2-3 root tabs at planting. We recommend adding root tabs monthly. As the plant gets larger, you should increase the amount of root tabs given each month.

All healthy plants, will settle nicely

Plants ordered: red flame sword, amazon sword, scarlet temple, water sprite, crypt lucens, crypt parva, anubias nana petite, and tiger lotus bulb. All plants arrived healthy, very little melting after a couple days. Scarlet temple melted a bit but I’m sure it will eventually settle into my deep substrate with organic soil. Just time to be patient and let nature do its thing.

Beautiful, full and healthy plant!

Set up a new tank and came into the store for some plants. As always, the selection was amazing and it was hard to choose just a few...but this large and full Red Flame Sword just popped and I knew it was perfect. It's been planted in my tank for about a week now and is thriving. It looks absolutely gorgeous and my shrimp, chili raspboras and celestial pearl danios love to swim through it and lay on the leaves.
In the picture, the Red Flame is planted at the very back.

Great plant from a great store

Plant has beautiful green and rusty red leaves throughout. It arrived in great shape, super crisp leaves with healthy white roots. This is a set it and forget it plant, drop it in and all it wants to do is grow immediately. I definitely recommend aquarium co-op and this plant.

Red flame sword. 🔥

This plant came in such amazing condition in the middle of February. I knew little about plants . Still mostly self taught. Oh... you can do that type of guy. But this plant has not only beautifully. It's made me a few beautiful blue face bills since February of last year. So not even a year after being shipped all the way across the country in the middle of winter. I had 0 issues. More than paid for itself and the easy green that makes me look like I have a horticultural degree... j/s

I have never had luck with any sword but this thing came in amazing shape even with a February, yeah, shipped mid winter and look at it the proofs in the pics right? everyone needs video proof... and DNA¿ j/k Well the several plants I've sold to my lfs the 10 15 I'm growing out in this tub? Yeah in my bedroom. It's cold in northern Ohio. Lol. It's forcing me to propagated about 14 more as we speak. Haha but all you'd have to do is a little snip snip on those i call em stalks googles your friend bruh, pull back on that green gold called easy green and it'd probably be a great plant. This one plus easy green is an amazing one however! Oh I have a whole other plant about half the size of the mother plant off camera. She's shy. all since February 2023

Super easy and grows super fast for me

Planted it in full sandsubstrate but just like Cory I shoved some easy root tabs into the rock wool where the plant comes in and jst planted that whole thing. Maybe that guy does know what he’s talking about lol because this plant has been growing a new leaf every week at least.

Thumbs up

I do like this plant and all the plants I’ve gotten from co-op.
I had one that had about 4 stems broken. I did not contact co-op. I’m sure they would’ve made it right but I figured I’d just let it try and come back. Thanks for everything.

My new favorite plant!

Plant came looking very strong and healthy. Nice sized plant too and it continues to be very healthy three weeks later. Plant seems to be acclimated to tank life. I kid you not, it’s been pushing out at least one new leaf per week. So pleased with my purchase! Attaching pics of it on day 1 (still in pot) and three weeks later.
