- Hardy Leaves
- Easy to Grow
- Low Light
Java Fern is hands down one of the most popular plants in the aquarium hobby. It is a slow grower and will thrive even in low light aquariums. A great addition to an aquascape, usually placed in the middle or background. Its thick, long leaves provide excellent cover for fish and fry.
Java fern will grow across your aquarium via its rhizome while sending leaves vertically upwards toward the light source. It will produce baby plants on the undersides of its leaves which can be removed and replanted if desired.
I bought java fern and easy green from aquarium Co-op and the plants are doing great!! Love all their products from aquarium Co-op they're the best in my opinion.
Plants arrived in a reusable insulated bag. All plants were big and healthy with no wilted leaves. It’s been almost two weeks, the plants are doing well and I’m seeing new baby fern are growing on the leaves.
When I ordered these the expected receive date was 3 days. USPS managed to misplace my plants leading to a delivery date over a week out in the middle of the summer so I was fully expecting to receive a bag of goop so I was completely shocked to receive 2 beautiful Java ferns that looked like they hadn’t taken more than 5 min to arrive. I may not have a ton of options for plants locally but even if I did I’d still order from aquarium co-op every time!
The plants came in very good condition and alive. Will order from them again
Thanks for all your great aquarium advise .Gerald.....
